I learn to learn… I like to learn… eLene2Learn
eLene2learn forms a multi-stakeholder network, exploring and promoting the contribution of ICT and digital media in supporting the development of learning to learn competencies in lifelong learning transitions.
9 European partners and their national Focus Groups (HE/SE teachers + students)
Project duration 2012-2014 http://www.elene2learn.eu/
Why this topic? 1
Challenges in transitions of lifelong learning adapting to new physical & virtual environments different teaching and learning approaches learning to live, learn and work within new
communitiesTransition from SE to HE
students feel lost in HE > uneffective learning students lack learning to learn competences
necessary in HE high dropout rates of early HE years
Why this topic? 2 Effective learning to learn competences
help learners to deal with transitions more effectively.
Social networks, digital media, serious games, virtual worlds, ePortfolio and blogs
may support development of learning to learn competences.
If the same approaches/tools are used throughout SE and HE the transition phase may be easier for students and more effective in terms of learning.
Learning to learn competences
self-regulation self-assessment self-management thinking, problem-solving and decision making ability to handle obstacles and change being creative communication (reading and writing) working with others motivation and confidence etc.
