    "Branding" the School

    Establish an acronym or word that students can identify and embrace.

    IMPORTANT: "When rolling it out, go all out."

    It is important to intertwine

    the design concept of thePBIS theme into as manyareas of the school aspossible.If the school has

    a strong identity, go with it.(eg. colors, fonts, etc.)

    Web based model with clear expectations for staff resulted in

    nearly 200 Good News Referrals in March 2011.

    Staff appreciated a specific expectation of 5 Good NewsReferrals in one month--"It felt doable."

    Certificates include specific praise from staff members.

    Students express pride in the acknowledgments--"Thankyou for the Good News Referral, I hung it on my wall."
