The floral trend isn't going away any time soon, and according to some designers, this pretty pattern is taking on an even more pronounced form for Spring '13. We're talking ultratextured finishes from the likes of Chloé, Barbara Bui, and Dries van Noten. Chloé punched up a bold-hued trouser with floral appliqué accents down one pant leg, Barbara Bui brought her bright flower prints to life via tougher blazer silhouettes, and Dries van Noten brought the romance with its rose-adorned midi skirts. It's the next stage in dynamic prints meet full-on embellishments. From left to right: Chloé, Barbara Bui, Dries van Noten
And of the embellished front, designers held nothing back. We loved seeing all of the intricate floral and jeweled details.

Cropped OuterwearThe midriff-baring crop top is still around, but with it comes a new batch of cropped wares. Signaling an updated turn to shorter hemlines (on top), designers like Roland Mouret and Karl Lagerfeld put a cropped spin on their outerwear. Mouret gave his moto-inspired jacket a supershortened look, while Chanel was all about the sweet, ever so slightly cropped tweed jackets. And if it's not just a play on proportions you want for Spring — it's a bit of print action too — Kenzo is right up your alley. From left to right: Roland Mouret, Chanel, Kenzo
The Tomboy ShortInstead of leg-baring minis and thigh-high slits, we'll be seeing an overwhelming number of longer tomboyish silhouettes — ones that pointed to a more modest hemline on bottom and put a decidedly laid-back touch on Spring's lineup. Introducing the long short. This short — that's not really all that short — was shown in lighter denim styles as well as in tailored and colorful printed iterations. It's all part of a look that reads slouchy and totally effortless. From left to right: Paul & Joe, Hermès, Chloé
Ruffled UpWe've seen fringe, lace, eyelet detailing, and scalloped edges — but this foray into feminine embellishments has got us all ruffled up. Literally. Chloé debuted the prettiest peach ruffle-shouldered dress, Saint Laurent played up its boho vibe with ruffle-infused maxi dresses, andBalenciaga injected a bit of flamenco sultriness into its LBDs via ruffled hemlines. From left to right: Chloé, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga
Double-Breasted TailoringDesigners like Anthony Vaccarello, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Barbara Bui all had one thing in common for Spring '13 — double-breasted tailoring. The powerful look, not to mention its slick structural effect, provided pantsuits, blazers, and vests with a more tailored, "we mean business" finish. While some silhouettes proved '80s-inspired and others focused on an overt tuxedo reference, we can agree the double-breasted trend certainly injects a more formal feel to our dress code. From left to right: Anthony Vaccarello, Jean Paul Gaultier, Barbara Bui
Turn Up the VolumeDesigners took proportional play to the extreme, blowing out tops and blazers with structured, oversize shoulders that cropped up everywhere from Balmain to Stella McCartney. Some are a little more subtle, others give new meaning to the words "power dressing" with some seriously strong shoulders.

Turn Up the VolumeJust remember, if you want to kick it up a notch, it's totally fine to go for high-volume pieces and oversize silhouettes. From left to right: Christopher Kane, Burberry,Antonio Berardi
Black and WhiteThis chic color combination is back and better than ever. For the girl who loves to inject some serious styling contrast into her look, this is it. Plus, who doesn't love the simplicity and timelessness of a black-and-white palette?
Sheer GeniusIt was quite literally a sheer takeover — opacity was the name of the game as see-through fabrications cropped up on dresses, skirts, hemlines, and blouses from the sleek takes at Stella McCartneyto the flirtier offerings at Vanessa Bruno. All around, it's a pretty sexy way to wear Spring '13.From left to right: Stella McCartney, Giambattista Valli, Vanessa Bruno
Asian-InspiredDesigners looked to a bevy of Asian-inspired influences when creating the sharp cuts, voluminous shapes, and rich embroidered fabrics of their Spring collections. To illustrate our point,Etro showed off a kimono-style wrap jacket, EmilioPucci sent out its own version of Enter the Dragonin outerwear form, and Prada culled from a Japanese silhouette. From left to right: Etro, Emilio Pucci, Prada
