Proportional valves are used as
directional, pressure and flow
control valves. Using integrated
electronics (OBE), they reduce
the cabling effort and simplify
handling while offering exact
reproducibility and low manufac-

High-response valves are
compact and robust. They are

Viscosities from 2000 to 10 cSt permit colder starts and hotter running. The balanced designcompensates for wear and temperature changes. At high viscosity or cold temperature, therotor to side plates gap is well lubricated and improves mechanicalefficiency.
Including phosphate esters, chlorinated hydrocarbons, water glycols and invert emulsionsmay be pumped at higher pressures and with longer service life by these pumps.
1. Check speed range, pressure, temperature, fluid quality, viscosity and pump rotation.
2. Check inlet conditions of the pump, if it can accept application requirement.
3. Type of shaft: if it would support operating torque.
4. Coupling must be chosen to minimize pump shaft load (weight, misalignment).
5. Filtration: must be adequate for lowest contamination level.

General InformationFluid recommendationsPremium quality hydraulic mineral fluid is recomended, likeHLP oils to DIN 51524, part 2. Brugger- value has to be 30 N/mm2 minimum for general application and 50 N/mm2 forheavily loaded hydraulic equipment and fast cycling machinesand/or high dynamic loads, measured in accordance withDIN 51 347-2. See also Document HY30-3248/UK ParkerHydraulic Fluids.
ViscosityThe normal operating viscosity should range between 16 and100 mm2/s (cSt). Max. start-up viscosity is 800 mm2/s (cSt).
FiltrationFor maximum pump and system component functionality andlife, the system should be protected from contamination by
effective filtration. Fluid cleanliness should be in accordance withISO classification ISO 4406:1999. The quality of filter elementsshould be in accordance with ISO standards. General hydraulicsystems for satisfactory operation: Class 20/18/15, accordingto ISO 4406:1999 Recommended cleanliness for maximumcomponent life and functionality: Class 18/16/13, according toISO 4406:1999
SealsCheck hydraulic fluid specification for chemical resistance ofseal material. Check temperature range of seal material andcompare with max. system and ambient temperature. N - Nitrile-40 ... +90 C
Note:The highest fluid temperature will be at the drain port ofthe pump, up to 25 C higher than in the reservoir.
