“Susan assisted in the sale of one of my dental practices. She found a buyer, negotiated the sale, and supported me and my staff through the entire process. The whole thing went smoothly and I was extremely satisfied with the job she did. I would highly recommend her as a practice broker and will use her services again when I sell my other practice.”

. . . Mitch Friedman, D.D.S. “Susan is a delight to work with as she is very professional, very knowledgeable, and has a great personality. I could not have been more pleased having had Susan as my broker as she met all expectations and then some.” . . . Betty Stranahan (on behalf of Dr. Patrick Stranahan) “Thank you Susan for your help during my Associate Buy-out Transition. You did a great job matching us up and guiding us all the way through! I couldn’t be happier!”

As we push the boundaries for rehabilitation with dental implants, we have seen a significant trend towards working outside of the safety zone. Reduced healing times, immediate placement and, most significantly, immediate restoration have found favor in an attempt to save time, to reduce tissue loss and to provide an instant fixed esthetic solution. Consider how such cases can be executed in a clinically predictable manner utilizing the latest concepts in virtual planning and how this plan can be transferred via either simple anatomical guides or computer-based stereolithographic guides for optimal implant placement. Achieve functional and esthetic success using prosthetic manipulation of soft tissues with temporary as well as definitive prostheses with a computerized virtual abutment design system, in particular when used with zirconia materials.

Millions of patients are experiencing signs and symptoms of masticatory system related problems that are most effectively diagnosed and managed by well prepared dentists. Poor bite relationships are the number one source of masticatory system imbalance and dysfunction. Only dentists can definitively treat malocclusions... and only well prepared dentists can treat malocclusions predictably. Clenching, bruxing, and many headaches are destructive muscle habits that are very manageable. Temporomandibular joint derangements are serious medically compromising conditions, rarely diagnosed in most medical offices, but very effectively managed. Well prepared dentists can offer predictable solutions for patients with

snoring or mild to moderate apnea. There are local medical conditions in the head region that can be recognized. The oral-systemic connection, both related to the oral bacteria/cardio-vascular disease link, as well as nutritional and whole health counseling, are wonderful areas of service.

The concerns described above often represent pre-restorative considerations for the dentist committed to complete dentistry- health, stability, comfort and esthetics. There is great opportunity for dentists to expand their services (and lines of business), by accepting the challenge to learn the available knowledge and skills, to become the true physicians of the masticatory system.

Following the presentation, each attendee should be able to immediately add newservices for the patients they serve.

Get the "blue print" for growth in any economy in any location. Dr. Abernathy has owned and operated multi-million dollar practices with 50% overhead and hundreds of new patients a month, coached thousands of doctors to new levels of productivity and profit. Learn from someone that does this every day. Stop just struggling and start becoming the doctor and practice you always knew you could become.

Roadmap to Transitions: Associates for Fun and Profit

Course Code: 10011:30pm to 4:30pmCE Credits: 3

ROOM 603 Learn the number one wealth building strategy in dentistry today. This strategy brings younger doctors to new levels of productivity and senior doctors to new levels of financial freedom. Follow a very predictable strategy that will work 93% of the time to attain growth and transitions that lend themselves to success. Do it wrong and you will lose control of your practice, production and profit.

Dr. Michael Abernathy is a graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry. He owns a successful family and cosmetic dentistry practice in North Texas and has done extensive speaking.

Learn seven key areas for efficient esthetic diagnosis and esthetic treatment. Discover a simple and systematic step-by-step approach to resolving esthetic problems, achieving predictable esthetic results and improving laboratory support. Outline all-ceramic crown techniques in terms of system selection, cement and adhesive selection as well as bonding sequence. Focus on occlusal management of esthetic case in order to minimize porcelain fractures and complications.

Learn who you are and then apply proven leadership concepts and principles that will lead to a life of significance and happiness. Leadership is a skill that can be learned and must be nurtured. It is vital in effective management of a dental office, but it is even more imperative for leading one’s own life, family, organization, etc.

Discover how prescribers are often major contributors to the problem of prescription

drugs, the most abused drugs in America. Teenagers are usually first exposed to opioids after their wisdom teeth are extracted. The unused pills are then stored, abused or sold on the street. These drugs are perceived as safe since they were prescribed by a dentist/physician. Opioid addiction is one of the most difficult to treat. Investigate Medical Marijuana as it is now a legal “prescription drug” that many patients are using for “medicinal purposes”.

Dr. Brett Kessler has been practicing esthetic, functional and reconstructive dentistry since 1995. In addition to his private practice, he currently teaches at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine on the subject of occlusion and comprehensive care. Learn proven techniques and systems that will bring your team into alignment and help increase your rate of comprehensive case acceptance. The ABC network show Extreme Makeover has raised patient’s awareness of advanced esthetic procedures and thousands of patients are seeking dental health and cosmetic improvement. Although today’s dentists have trained to accomplish advanced restorative and cosmetic procedures, unfortunately many are unable to turn knowledge into reality.

Get more fulfillment in your dentistry by changing people’s lives through comprehensive care. Move your patients beyond patch and repair procedures that are just enough to stay within the insurance limits. This advanced seminar is designed for the dentists and staff in offices that use articulators and have an understanding of occlusion, utilize composite and porcelain veneer restorations, use digital photography and desire to perform more comprehensive dentistry in their daily practice.

Dr. Susan Hollar maintains a private practice in Arlington, Texas limited to reconstructive and esthetic dentistry. She is an accredited fellow member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and one of thirty-seven Pankey Scholars. Mr. Mark Absher, BS has been office manager and marketing director in the Arlington, Texas dental practice of his wife, Dr. Susan Hollar since 1982. Prior to that, he was a systems analyst and computer programmer. Mark is also owner of DentalOptimization, a website development company catering exclusively to restorative and cosmetic dentists.
