G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering Nagpur (GHRCE) is the flagship institute of Raisoni Group of Institutions (RGI). It is a premier research institute in Central India which has set many benchmarks in very short span of a decade. It is conferred with Autonomous Status under UGC Act 1956. It has received NBA Accreditation & Reaccreditations for upper span of 5 years for most of courses. Received World Bank Assistance under TEQIP-I Project and was awarded Highest Audit Score of 9.7 / 10. Institute has received prestigious World Bank Assistance project under TEQIP-II (Only 02 Private Institutions from Maharashtra and 14 all over India got TEQIP-II). It has partnered with IIT Powai for providing distance engineering courses under C-DEEP scheme and with IIT Madras for QEEE program. GHRCE has received highest no. of Sponsored research projects from DST, AICTE and other reputed agencies. The Academics is backed up with 7 UG, 12PG and MBA, MCA courses along with 5 doctoral courses with highest intake of 1284. The intellectual capital is very strong with highest no. of Ph.Ds. It has hosted series of IEEE International Conferences (ICETET) in India and Abroad. Institute has started International Journal on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (IJETET). M.E. / M.Tech Programmes

ADMISSION OF CANDIDATES UNDER GATE

Eligibility

Candidates fulfilling eligibility requirements as mentioned will be considered for admission to the respective program under GATE category as per details given in Table-1.

Admission Procedure

i) Admissions will be done according to merit list prepared on the basis of valid GATE score in the respective programs indicated under the column of Eligibility criterion in Table-1. GATE score in one branch will not be valid for admission in another branch.

ii) Institute will provide additional stipend to well performing students. Additional R & D benefits like sponsorship to conference and publication fees for journals will be given to the GATE candidates.

iii) No reservation policy as institute is under minority status.

NOTE: - Valid GATE Score means it must satisfy two conditions: One is valid time period and qualifying marks. Both of these conditions should be satisfied to apply for admission to M.E. / M.Tech. The Qualifying Score is the minimum mark that needs to be secured to become eligible for availing assistantships provided by AICTE/MHRD/GOI from time to time. In case of low GATE score, it will be right of the Institute to declare the Cut-off. The students having GATE scores above Cut-off score can take direct admissions in GATE category.

FEES

Candidates desirous of seeking admission to any of the PG programme must deposit demand draft of required amount (refer table below) drawn in favour of the Director/ Principal, G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering Nagpur, payable at Nagpur or cash payment at the College Bank Counter. All students should submit Enrolment Form at the time of admission. The students passed out from University other than Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur should submit Eligibility Certificate and Migration Certificate. All students should submit Original documents and complete annual fees at the time of admission.

Financial Assistance 1. Assistantship will be awarded to GATE qualified candidates as per norms of

the (MHRD/AICTE) rules for the duration of the M. Tech. /ME programme if they satisfy the conditions.

2. In addition to stipend; some of high GATE score candidates will be provided Rs.4000/- per month additional stipend. All the GATE students have to take a load of 8-10 hrs. as per AICTE norms.

3. Teaching Assistantship of Rs.8,000/- per month to Non-GATE, Non- Sponsored, financially weaker students on Merit basis under TEQIP-II .A student receiving assistance-ship will be required to work in the concerned department for 8-10 hrs. The students will have to apply for the same stating their parents annual income is below Rs.2.50 lacs per annum and they are not availing any other scholarship.

4. The continuance of the assistantship shall depend upon the satisfactory progress of work, attendance, conduct of the recipient as communicated by the Head of the Department concerned and academic performance in the End Semester Examination.

5. Financial assistance to faculty and Students for participating in conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.

6. Provide seed money to faculties and students to undertake the research projects.

7. Financial assistance is provided for publishing the paper in journal. 8. Financial assistance for developing the experimental setups for the dissertation

work. 9. Encouraged to file Patents and financial assistance is provided for the same. 10. Incentives for patents: 15000/- at the time of filing and 15000/- after grant of

patent.

Conduct and discipline

Students while studying in the college, if found indulging in anti-national activities contrary to the provisions of acts laws enforced by Government, any activity contrary to rules of discipline will be liable to be expelled from the college without any notice by the Director of the college.

All PG students required to stay minimum 8 Hrs. in the premises/Library/ Research Center & has to sign following undertaking.

If any of the statement made in application form or any information supplied in connection with his/her admission is later on, at any time, found to be false or incorrect, his/her admission will be cancelled, fees forfeited and he/she may be expelled from the college by the Principal and prosecuted, if deemed necessary.

All candidates for admission to post graduate courses in engineering are required to give the following undertaking.

a. I have read all the Rules of Admission for the current year and after understanding these rules, I have filled-in this form of application for admission for the current year.

b. The information given by me in my application is true to the best of my knowledge and belief.

c. I have not been debarred from appearing at any examination held by any government constituted or statutory examination authority in India.

d. I fully understand that the offer of a course or branch of engineering will be made to me depending on inter-se merit and availability of seats at the time of verification of my application when I will report to the admission authority according to the schedule of admission.

e. I understand that no other document, other than those attached to the application form before the last date of admission will be entertained for the purpose of claims,/concessions etc. in connection with my admission.

f. I hereby agree to confirm to any rules, acts and laws enforced by Government and I hereby undertake that so long as I am a student of the college, I will do nothing either inside or outside the college which

may result in disciplinary action against me under the rules, acts and laws.

g. I fully understand that the Principal of the college where I would be admitted, will have right to expel/rusticate me from the college for any infringement of the Rules of conduct and discipline prescribed by the college/university (if any) and the undertaking given above.

h. I will not join any other organization during the course period. i. 75% Attendance in each subject is compulsory.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM

The application form for admission, duly completed in every respect, must be submitted to the Director, G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur on or before 23rd May 2014 for GATE candidates having valid GATE score for all M.Tech./ M.E. Programmes. Candidates desirous of seeking admission to any of the PG programme must deposit demand draft of Rs.750/- drawn in favor of the Director, G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering Nagpur, payable at Nagpur or cash payment at the College for purchase of admission form for concerned PG Programme. Please also note that:

1. Attested photocopies of the following certificates (as applicable) should be attached with the application form. The candidates must produce the original certificates at the time of admission along with the requisite fees.

2. Incomplete application and applications without attested copies of the documents as required will not be considered for admission process.
