Please note that this is a sample course plan only. Subjects offered may change from year to year. You will be advised of subject offerings prior to subject selection and enrolment.

Course structureIn the sample course plan below, the student has completed a year of the Bachelor of Commerce at Monash University. She was awarded 100 points of credit and completed the University of Melbourne Bachelor of Commerce course with majors in accounting (with accreditation) and finance in two years.

The viability of such a plan depends on your subject choice during first year and your preferred major. It may not be possible to accept credit for all study taken prior to commencing at the University of Melbourne in every case and therefore could result in you completing the Bachelor of Commerce course in 2.5 or 3 years.

Entry requirements for transferring university students

• A minimum average of at least 70 per cent across your most recent year of university studies is required to be eligible to be considered for a place.

• Meet the maths prerequisite by completing an approved maths in the final year of school eg. GCE A Levels Maths, Australian Year 12 Maths Methods, Monash University Foundation Maths A&B.

How to applyThe application process is very easy for students wishing to apply to the University of Melbourne. You can apply directly to the University via the online application form at:

futurestudents.unimelb.edu.au/admissions/applications/online-application-info

You will need to attach a certified copy of your final school results and your most recent university academic transcript.

You can apply before you have completed your first year of study and we will issue you with an offer that is conditional upon you demonstrating that you have met the entry requirements for that year's intake of students. Selection into the degree is competitive, so the required GPA may change from year to year.
