PROLOGUE

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Hamirpur

(Himachal Pradesh) India and Modern Technology and Management Institute Inc., USA; in

collaboration with University of Maryland Eastern Shore, USA; and Frostburg State University,

USA are happy to announce the 2014 International Conference on Emerging Paradigm and

Practices in Global Technology, Management and Business Issues during December 22-24,

2014. This will be achieved through multi-disciplinary research-based idea generation and

discussions. The attempt is to bring about richness in discussion by encouraging contributions

from business professionals, academicians and researchers across academic institutions and

industry worldwide. We look forward to your participation and support in making this

conference a grand success.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE ARE:

To provide a platform to academicians, practitioners, business leaders, researchers and

students around the globe to present and discuss on Emerging Paradigm and Practices in

Global Business Issues, Management and Technology.

To facilitate sharing research based knowledge among participants.

ABOUT NIT HAMIRPUR

National Institute of Technology Hamirpur, one of the premier technical institutions in India is

situated at Anoo, Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh, India), 3 KM away from the main bus stand at

an altitude of 850 meters. The institute is located in the ambrosial green pine forest surroundings

near Hamirpur town and overlooks the snow-sheathed mountains, which provides an excellent

environment for academics and researchers.

During the last few years NIT Hamirpur (HP) has grown tremendously as Institute of National

and International repute. The institute is about 85 km from Kangra airport (Dharamshala), 200

km from Chandigarh Airport (advisable), 255 km from Kullu Airport, and 80 KM from nearest

railway station of Una in Himachal Pradesh (India). The institute is well connected by national

highways to Una, Chandigarh, Delhi, and all the tourist places of Himachal Pradesh.

Indian Continent

Registration fee of US$75 per participant for Academicians, US$25 per student participant, and

US$ 200 per participant from Government organizations, Business & Industry and should be sent

latest by November 25, 2014. Add US$15 extra if registering after November 25, 2014.Under

special situation, Academician participants from India may pay their Registration Fee in Indian

Rupee amounting to Rs.4000.00 and full time students Rs.1500.00 (with Director/Principal’s

BONAFIDE STUDENT certificate clearly stating non-working status) through demand draft

Registration fee of US$150 per participant for Academicians, US$50 per student participant, and

US$200 per participant from Government organizations, Business & Industry and should be sent

latest by November 25, 2014. Add US$25 extra if registering after November 25, 2014.

The non-refundable/non-transferable registration fee includes attendance at sessions, a copy of

MTMI Journal and other conference materials for each registered attendee, and food and

refreshments at several session breaks and social gatherings. In order to be included in the MTMI

Conference publications, at least one of the authors of each selected paper for publication must

separately register before the specified date in the guidelines for authors. The Academy

encourages all co-authors of papers to register and attend the Conference. In case of multiple

papers, co-authored by the same individual, MTMI expects each paper to be presented by a

different individual. MTMI reserves the right to alter any policy without notice.

Participants can make online presentations. Registration Fee for online presentation is US$50 to

REGISTRATION FORMS Registration Forms can be downloaded from MTMI website

http://mtmi.us/Global_Digital/index.html. The registration form should be sent along with the

demand draft. The Registration fee is non refundable.

AREAS OF INTEREST

Papers should broadly address the conference themes and issues related to emerging leading

edge technology. Academicians and professionals are encouraged to contribute new ideas,

concepts and paradigms for discussion. Papers could be based on original empirical research or

real life case studies relating to emerging leading trends.

Special consideration will be given to papers, abstracts and symposia proposals that highlight

emerging theories, cutting edge research or best corporate practices and facilitate exchange

between scholars and practitioners.

Even though papers in all areas of technology, management and business are invited and would

be accepted on their merit, papers dealing with policy issues and those that generate discussion

among policy makers and practitioners are also encouraged. Papers dealing with the national and

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT & PAPER SUBMISSION

Selection of papers for presentation will be based on detailed abstract of at least 250 words with

the title of the paper, name(s), addresses, telephone numbers and email address. Abstract must

include a clear indication of the purpose of research, methodology, major results, implications,

and key references. Abstracts will be blind reviewed and only those abstracts approved by the

reviewers will be selected for presentation in the Conference. One hard copy and a soft copy of

the abstract in Microsoft Word for Windows should reach the conference coordination

committee not later than November 01, 2014. The electronic copy should be emailed to:
