In-mass treatment technology

All RX Trem lenses are treated with in-mass

technology. The entire depth of the lens is colored,

polarized and treated photochromically for optimum

Feasibility rule:Spherical correction:

Check that the sphere falls between the maximum and minimum value.

E.g.: Dirt model, NXT 1.53, Pupillary Distance of 32,

correction: -2.00 --> Feasible: -3.25<-2.00< +2.50.

Cylindrical correction (astigmatism):

Add Sphere and Cylinder(+), and check that the result obtained falls between the

maximum and minimum value.

E.g.: PipeLine model, NXT 1.59, Pupillary Distance of 30,

correction: -2.00 (+3.00)90° --> +1.00 --> Feasible: -3.75<+1.00< +3.75.

> INSTRUCTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS

Taking orders

On your site: www.julbo-rx.com

Once the order is entered and sent, work on the lens starts. It is therefore essential to check that measurements are

accurate. An order can be saved before sending the definitive version.

Frames should not be sent. The lab will fit the surface-treated and cut lenses directly into a frame from their stock.

Delivery

Optical center: for greater accuracy and legibility, both unifocal and progressive lenses are engraved (cf. centering

chart for checking).

Strength check: the strength measured is the actual strength recalculated in accordance with the wearer's data. It

is therefore different from the nominal strength prescribed by the ophthalmologist. The actual strength and nominal

strength are both shown on the delivery note and the wearer's card.

Test with the customer: the frame supplied is different from the one used to take measurements. The nose pads

and endtips must therefore be readjusted.

Cleaning adjustement marks: use an alcohol-based solvent. Acetone must not be used.

Handover to the customer : the glasses should be given to the customer in their box with their personal card.

Sales follow-up

Glasses fitted with RX Trem lenses are guaranteed for 1 month against any adaptation problems (except prescription

errors). If problems do occur, the glasses must be returned for checking.

In the event of faulty prescriptions, the glasses are exchanged for a new pair fitted with the correct prescription. If

the laboratory is responsible for the fault, the replacement is free of charge. If incorrect measurements are sent by

the optician, he/she must pay for the cost of the replacement.

Julbo is responsible for after-sales service if the frames break. Refitting of lenses will be payable by the optician.

If the lenses break, they can be replaced using the data already sent. The cost of purchasing the lens and surface-

treatment operations will be reinvoiced.

Problems related to finishes (delamination, finish leakage, etc.) are guaranteed for 1 year.

The sale of RX Trem technical sunglasses for prescription use is a highadded-value procedure. The "Freeform"

surface treatment technology in particular requires careful consideration of the parameters of the frame as worn by

the customer.

A certain number of precautions are necessary. It is therefore essential to comply with the following procedure:

Identification of customer needs

Ask the customer about the different types of use and sporting activities they want the sunglasses for.

Determine their ametropia and degree of correction.

This initial information will allow you to select the frames and lenses available

using the prescription table or product datasheets from the catalog.

Select a model (frame + lens).

Taking measurements

Check in particular that your customer is comfortable and that the glasses are correctly adapted to their morphology.

Make any necessary adjustments (bridge and temples).

Unifocal lenses and progressive lenses:

Pupillary Distance + Depth (Full Pupil) + Pantoscopic Tilt + Lens-Eye Distance.

Default values:

Pantoscopic tilt: 9°.

Lens-Eye Distance: 13 mm.

Point by point technology requires a high degree of accuracy when taking

measurements, and depths are even necessary for unifocal prescriptions.

Compensating prism incorporated in the surface finish of the lens.

The greater the correction, the more accurate the measurements must be.

We recommend testing any new prescription. These measurements are the responsibility of the optician.
