“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest
fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light,
not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves,
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually,
who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing
small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened
about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around
you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born
to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not
just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own
light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to
do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our
presence automatically liberates others.”
Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson
I was challenged by my mother and our dire situation at home.
The two brought a sense of purpose in my life. I wanted to achieve something and improve our situation.
It is a dream of each and every parent to see their children being successful, being better people.
I suppose it is also your dream and you want to adequately provide for your own children.
Charity begin @ home…
begins with a desire
In Matric, I was battling getting average 30% in Maths and
Science, and I was going to fail.
After winter holidays I decided to go and seek assistance
from my teachers and I told them I wanted to pass Matric
with an average 60-69% - goal..!
The help came in various forms: Motivational talks, extra
classes and studying with a purpose i.e. focused on
acquiring enough knowledge to can pass exams.
I managed to pass my Matric with an exemption of 50% -
Level 4.
With help…Achieved Matric
Was to study towards a National Diploma in Architecture at Technikon Northern Transvaal
Following my amazing achievements, in particular in getting 100% in Maths.
I decided to change Architecture for Civil Engineering - CIVILIZATION.
My talents were extracted by the desire to compete with other students from better schools.
& by the prizes up for grabs for excellency - distinction level.
I completed my Diploma with 11 distinctions & B-Tech degree with 1 distinction.
At tertiary level, ….
Simply put…
HERO Lies in you
You are powerful beyond measure.
Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson
CHANGE YOUR THINKING, CHANGE YOUR LIFE
….I found an ACE in me, a HERO in me, my true potential
Today I am a successful and happy to have improved my
dire situation.
I use to sleep on the floor (shangoni), now my three
children sleep in their own beds.
I use to walk long distances selling vegetables, today I
send my wife with her own car to buy vegetable.
I have changed my world and that of my family +
descendants and yes of my community.
Many thanks mainly to education – Civil Engineering
In the end it does pay
