    Janet Nodar is Content Director of Breakbulk Events & Media. She became a business reporter for GulfShipper and the Journal of Commerce in 2006, covering the U.S. Gulf Coast, North America’s busiestproject and breakbulk cargo market. In 2009 she became Editor of Breakbulk, and in 2011 she wasnamed Senior Editor. In 2010 she became part of Breakbulk’s conference program team. In 2012,she received an Apex award for feature writing. In 2013, she became Breakbulk's Content Director.Before she began writing about the shipping industry, Nodar taught English at the University ofSouth Alabama and was a freelance writer covering food, wine, lm, business and literature.     Abdulla joined DP World in 2001 and was responsible formanaging numerous key contracts and played an active rolein business development. From 2006, Abdulla took over theresponsibility for the sales functions at DP World’s UAE Terminalsas Sales Manager. He rose to the position of Deputy Director in2007 and focused strongly on business growth. Thereafter heheaded the Account Management function for the Container Terminals as Director, Account Management.Currently, Abdulla holds the position of Commercial Directormanaging Container Terminals, General Cargo, Logistics Centerand Customer Care. In addition he is actively involved in variousstrategic and business development initiatives at DP World UAERegion.

    Jebel Ali Port, operated by DP World UAE Region, is the largestmarine terminal in the Middle East and the agship facilityof DP World’s portfolio of over 65 marine terminals across sixcontinents.     Mohamed Juma Al Shamsi is an experienced maritime executivewith more than 18 years industry experience. He joined ADPC in2008 and has held key leadership positions including ExecutiveVice President for the ADPC Ports Unit, where he was instrumentalin restructuring and rationalizing its assets. He oversaw thecompletion and commissioning of the rst phase of Abu DhabiPorts’ agship Khalifa Port and its adjacent industrial zone.

    He has served as a board member and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Terminals. He is currently on the board of Etihad Airways andan advisory board member of Wollongong University, Australiain Dubai. Al Shamsi holds an MBA and Graduate Certicate ofManagement from the University of Tasmania, and an advanceddiploma of Applied Science (shipmaster). He was awarded theAustralian Maritime College’s Baird Publication Prize for BestPerformance in Navigation Studies and the Sheikh Rashid Awardfor Academic Excellence.

    Abu Dhabi Ports is a government-owned organization establishedin 2006. The organization facilitates the diversication of AbuDhabi’s economy, a main pillar of Abu Dhabi Economic Vision2030. Abu Dhabi Ports manages nine commercial, logistics,community and leisure ports, including its agship Khalifa Portand adjacent industrial zone Kizad.

    Khalifa Port is the rst semi-automated container port in the GCCregion and handles all of Abu Dhabi’s container traffic, generalcargo, and roll-on and roll-off cargo. In its current developmentphase one, Khalifa Port can handle an annual capacity of 2.5million TEU containers and 12 million tonnes of general cargo.When all development phases are completed, Khalifa Port isexpected to handle 15 million TEUs and 35 million tonnes ofgeneral cargo per year.

    Kim Bjerner Rathsack is CEO of AlmajdouieLogistics and leads activities focusing on transportation, heavylift, freight forwarding, terminals and warehousing. He has workedthroughout his professional career in logistics and supply chainmanagement, starting as a trainee with Danish shipping giant A.P. Moller where he served a combined 25 years in two separateemployments. Rathsack also worked as supply chain director forFrench retailer Auchan and as senior lead program manager forMicrosoft Business Solutions.

    Almajdouie Logistics is a powerhouse in the project logistics andsupply chain management industry, holding a Guinness WorldRecord for moving the “Heaviest Item Moved by Road Freight”in 2012. Since 1965, the eet has grown to over 1,800 trucks

    Ken Long has spent his 42-year career in capital project supplychain logistic, working for four companies over the course of hiscareer: Transoceanic (later Agility), Saga, Lynden International andPanalpina. Currently he is Country Head of Energy Solutions forPanalpina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Long was the executivesponsor for Panalpina’s logistics services to Fluor for the SadaraProject. He is a subject matter expert on P.O./line-Item-levellogistics forecasting, planning and KPII-driven execution andthe applications required to meet client requirements in theseactivities.

    Panalpina has been operating in Saudi Arabia for over 30 yearsand has grown to become one of the major logistics providers inthe Kingdom, providing global supply chain solutions, includingmanagement from Saudi Arabia. Panalpina World Transport Saudihas offices and experience throughout Saudi Arabia, includingJeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Jubail.     In its current development phase one, Khalifa Port can handle an

    annual capacity of 2.5 million TEU containers and 12 million tonnesof general cargo. The port is being developed in stages as industrydemand grows. When all development phases are completed, KhalifaPort is expected to increase its capacity for container volumes to 15million TEUs and 35 million tonnes of general cargo per year.
