A DREAM wedding worth more than £11,000 is up for grabs in the Gloucester Citizen’s fantastic competition this year. From the magic moment when he pops the question, the race is on to plan the perfect wedding. For some couples this can take years to save up the cash needed to cover all the costs – from the dress to the venue. But imagine if we could wave a magic wand and make your wedding dreams come true. Whether you’ve already started planning or have just got engaged, let us take the stress and cost out of creating the perfect wedding.

The lucky winners will tie the knot at the Hatton Court in Gloucester in February 2017, with the bride walking down the aisle in a dress from Chanticleer Brides carrying a bouquet from The Flower Bowl. The groom and best man will be clad in sharp suits, with up to £500 towards hire from Tuxedo Junction, while the bridesmaids will look the part with £500 to spend on gowns from Willow and Lace.The happy couple will travel in style with a motor from Azure Luxury Cars, all captured by Diamond Shots Photography which will provide a full engagement package and 10 hours photography on the day.The rings will be on your fi ngers for the rest of your lives, so only the best will do with our superb wedding rings from GA Baker & Son.The happy pair can choose a cake of their dreams from Cotswold Cake Kitchen with centre pieces and a candy card provided by Sweet Beginnings and a fun photo booth from Hotshots. Somecouples plan their big day years in advance to help pay forthe extravagance.Rachel Langford and Francis Moore from St Oswald’s inGloucester were one of those couples.Newly-engaged early last year, they set a date for 2018 toseal the knot.But that date has been pulled forward by two years andthey will step down the aisle this February.Why? Because, to their total surprise and delight, theywere the lucky winners of the Gloucester Citizen Win aWedding Competition 2015.A beaming Rachel still can’t belief their good fortune. Thenearest she has ever got to coming out top in acompetition was winning best Hallowe’en costume onceupon a time. But who says fairy tales don’t come true.Rachel said: “I’m so glad we did it. It’s like a dream cometrue for us.”Rachel, 30, who works as a mortgage advisor, added:“Francis and I had talked about marriage for a long timebut, realistically, we wouldn’t have been able to tie theknot until 2018 because of money. Now it is happeningthis February, which is amazing.”Rachel and Francis met at a nightclub in Cheltenham sixyears ago and got engaged at Winter Wonderland inLondon.“Francis saved up the money for the ring and asked me tomarry him at Hyde Park.
