Complete Asset Lifecycle Support Greenfield Petfood Project Management A premium branded companion animal nutrition client engaged Frontline to provide project management services for the $115M greenfield construction of a new kitchen and distribution center. Required services included budgeting, scheduling, coordination, contract management and reporting. Seed Treating Electrical Area Classification A co-op needed professional engineering analysis and engagement with the regulator to ensure their seed processing operations were compliant with hazardous area requirements, in order to avoid having to use explosion proof electrical components. Oat Mill Project Engineering The owner of a dry edible bean processing facility wished to convert it to an oat mill. Frontline provided process and dust collection design, equipment procurement support, construction quality control oversight, and commissioning guidance. Seed Plant Feasibility Study A municipality and its producer co-op operating partner were interested in constructing a new seed cleaning plant. Frontline’s conceptual design, capital cost estimate and construction schedule facilitated the group’s strategic decision making process. Grain Handling Asset Due Diligence A private equity firm had Frontline review the physical condition of a network of grain handling assets, and work with the organization to develop a value-creation model and identify opportunities for business performance enhancement. Process Line Optimization Frontline conducted a lean gap analysis of a milling client’s process line, engineered the required line upgrades, and supported the client’s successful application for partial capital cost recovery from a provincial government’s agricultural support fund. Energy Efficiency Analysis A malt processor recognized there was potential to recover waste heat from their process. Frontline evaluated multiple technical options for recovery of the energy, and provided financial returns analysis to enable the client to do their capital project planning.
