STEWARDSHIP - The Power to Change How We Live: Stewardship is an expression of discipleship with the power to change how we understand and live out our lives. Disciples who practice stewardship recognize (that) God is the origin of life, the giver of freedom, the source of all they have and are and will be. My friends, when you talk about stewardship you come to a third conviction. It is an expression of discipleship, which really asks us to put on lenses-new lenses where we look at who we are and what we do from an entirely different perspective. And that is what stewardship is about. These basic principles are not new to any one of us. How do we appropriate them into our lives?

2019 Sharing God’s Blessings Annual Appeal

Did you know that there is still time to support the 2019 Sharing God’s Blessings Annual Appeal?

Our Lady Queen of Peace has received $26,479 in pledges. Thank you to those parishioners who have already shown your support and generosity. Will you join your fellow parishioners in supporting

this effort that strengthens many important programs and ministries across the Archdiocese of Newark? Our Goal, $41,361 can only be achieved

through YOUR generosity! If you have yet to give, please pick up a pledge form at the back of the

church or visit www.rcan.org/sharing. YOUR gift will truly make a difference. Thank you for your prayers and support.

ONLINE GIVING For info on Online Giving check out the link on our website “Electronic Giving now Available!”

Last Sunday, OLQP said farewell to Patricio Molina as our Director of Music. The members of the Music Ministry presented him a special scrapbook as a token of their gratitude.

BY ORDER OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN FIRE ZONES

(ALONG THE SIDES OF OUR DRIVEWAYS)!

ELECTRONIC GIVING Have you ever gotten to Mass and realized that you forgot to bring your offering? Or, have you gone away on an unexpected trip and realized that your weekly support of the parish would be missing while you were away? There is an easier way to make your stewardship donations without having to give it any thought as you prepare for Mass. Several of our parishioners have begun having their donations sent to us by their banks. This is a free service offered by banks through online bill pay. There are usually no charges for this service. Just set up an account in your bill pay screen for Our Lady Queen of Peace, and you can tell the bank how much and when you want the money sent. You can do it weekly or monthly, and you can even set up automatic payments so that you don’t have to remember to have it sent. If you are concerned about not having something to put in the basket at Mass, you can continue to bring your envelope without a check and drop it in the collections basket. Just mark on the envelope that you are enrolled in electronic giving. If you prefer not to receive envelopes, let us know, and we can stop having them sent to you. You will still receive credit for your donations, and we can still give you a statement at the end of the year for your tax return.

MASS INTENTIONS / INFORMATION

Names will remain on our sick list for four weeks unless we are notified by the family.

Anyone requesting a Prayer Shawl for a sick person is asked to call the Parish Center.

If you have a family member who is in a nursing home or rehabilitation center, please notify the Parish Center so we can arrange to visit them.

Please remember to place Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in your Will. Those who generously did this in the past have helped us to stay out of a heavy debt and help to make our many ministries a reality.

"In the time prior to celebrating our Mass, as the parish family of Our Lady Queen of Peace,

you are invited to spend this time in quiet prayerful reflection, asking our Lady and her Son for peace in our world,

our country, our Church, our families, and in our hearts."

Bereavement Support |[email protected]

It is said that death ends our life on earth, but it does not end a relationship. There is great truth in this statement. However, the loss of a loved

one can bring great pain. If you need bereavement counseling, please contact Deacon Joe at 201-845-9566, Ext. 119.
