Camp LeadershipAll camp personnel, both paid and volunteer, are required to submit clearances per Pennsylvania state regulations.

CENTER DIRECTOR: Each of the camp retreat centers is led by a Center Director who is present throughout the entire camping season to enhance missional outcomes, steward these sacred places, and extend Christian hospitality for all�

SUMMER STAFF: These young adults live on site all summer and work throughout the summer camping season to ensure a fun, safe, and clean physical environment� They serve as lifeguards, supervise the challenge course/climbing wall, staff the nature resource programs, lead craft programs, and perform many other vital duties� They work under the supervision of the Center Director�

DEANS: These adults, including both clergy and lay people, provide leadership and supervision for one camp event� They recruit, train, and supervise the counselors for their session of camp, as well as plan and lead the worship experience�

COUNSELORS: These are adults, 18 years of age or older, who are responsible for the direct supervision of the campers� Assistant counselors ages 16 and 17 are allowed to assist with the elementary camps, but do not have supervisory responsibilities�

All staff and volunteers responsible for overnight supervision of campers are 18 years old or older, and at least five years older than the oldest youth under their supervision.

Located in South Central Pennsylvania, Camp Penn has been providing quality Christian camping opportunities for over 70 years� This 11-acre facility is packed full of awesome summer camp fun� Activities that campers can expect to experience are: swimming in the pool, archery, GaGa ball, nine square in the air, basketball and tennis courts, craft shop, canteen (snacks, soda, juice, billiards, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, board games), indoor and outdoor chapels, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, evening campfires, outdoor pavilion, nature trail, ball field, 3 element team building area, volleyball, horseshoes, and trout fishing on the Antietam. Summer campers sleep in long house style cabins� For more information on hosting your own retreat at Camp Penn, please contact the Camp Penn office.

Greene Hills is situated on 226 acres of woods, fields, wetland, stream and river in Huntingdon county� The camp consists of three distinct areas: the traditional Summer Camp area, the comfortable bed-and-breakfast style Manor Lodge, and the Family Campground and RV Park� Campers can expect to experience: swimming in the pool, climbing wall, hiking, volleyball, soccer, GaGa ball, battleball, four square, movie theater with popcorn and sno-cones, crafts, fishing, river tubing, slip ‘n slide, fossil hunting, creek stomping, evening campfires, outdoor chapel at Cathedral Meadow. What to Leave at Home:All electronic gadgetry (cell phone, tablets, video game systems), knives or other sharp implements, candy/soda/snacks…we’ll make sure you have plenty of food at camp! If any of these items do make it to camp, they will spend the week in the Center Director’s office, to be returned to you as you leave camp at the end of the week�

FAQ’sAre there scholarships available?Yes! First check with your church, as most automatically pay for a portion of the camper’s registration fee� Then, if needed, ask about additional scholarship funds from our camp supporters by calling the office at 717-766-7395�

Do I have to be United Methodist to attend?No! Our campers represent a wide variety of denominations and our camps are open to youth with no church affiliation. All campers will actively participate in daily Bible studies and campfire worship.

Can I still be a camper if I just graduated High School?Yes! If you graduated high school in May or June of 2018, we welcome you to attend summer camp!

Can I be in the same cabin as my friend? During registration, campers may request to be in the same lodging with another friend� Both campers must request to be bunkmates� We factor in age and availability when putting bunkmates together, and we do our best to accommodate all requests�

Williamsport District Mini Camp For over 20 years, Pastors and Laity of the Williamsport District have volunteered to offer summer camp in the Northern Tier at His Thousand Hills in Wellsboro, PA� Campers enjoy archery, team challenges, water activities, camp olympics, ropes courses, music concerts, Bible breakouts, roller skating, volleyball, basketball, singing around the campfire, and so much more!
