PRAYER
Keep us, O God, from pettiness. Let us be large in thought, word, and deed. Let us be done with faultfinding, and leave off self-seeking. May we put away pretense and meet each other face to face without self-pity, without prejudices. May we never be hasty in judgment. Let us take time for all things. Make us grow calm, serene, and gentle. Teach us to put into action our better impulses, straightforward and unafraid. Grant that we may realize that it is the little things that create the differences; that in the big things we are one, and O Lord, let us not forget to be kind. AMEN

Mission Statement
The mission of the Conroe Service League is to provide organized service opportunities for the women serving in Montgomery County in the areas of education, cultural arts, health, and welfare, and to effectively use the work of the League for the betterment of the community.

GENERAL INFORMATION
MEETINGS
General meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month. We meet every month EXCEPT August. We will try to have five (5) luncheon meetings and six (6) dinner meetings. The Board usually meets on the first Tuesday of each month. However, some meetings will be held immediately preceding the General meeting.

2018-2019 Yearly Report
Improvements to the Bargain Box: new shed air conditioner, new light in workroom, sprinklers repaired.
AV committee in cooperation with the Conroe Noon Lions Club screened 440 students at 11 preschools.
BridgeWay committee provided game nights, an ice cream social, baby bundles, a Heritage Museum tour, Back to School shopping with school supplies at the Box, a Christmas party for the residents at BridgeWay House, bowling, and shopping at the Box in March.
Volunteers provided desserts for Young Texas Artists. Volunteers worked at Priceless Gowns event. Donations from Just Between were picked up and
delivered 4 times this year. Eleven one-year and one four-year scholarships
awarded. Auditions at First Baptist & event at River Plantation.
Designer Purse Bingo raised over $24,000. 350 tickets sold. Tacos from Los Pericos & homemade desserts.
CBB & CSL Bylaws were updated to include expanding membership of CBB to active CSL members and expanding board to CSL board.
Funds Disbursements –Travis Intermediate Boys To Men $400, Priceless Gowns $1000, Family Promise $1000, Heritage Museum $1000, Eagles Nest Ministries $2000, BridgeWay $1000, Finishing Touches $1500, Treehouse Center $1000, Children’s Safe Harbor $1000, Meals on Wheels $1000, Rainbow Room $500. Sisterhood $500.
We lost 2 of our wonderful sustainers: Willie Shepard and Marty Lopez.
