RTSYS ACTIVITIES
AUTONOMOUS UNDERWATER VEHICLES (AUV)
Our wide AUV range can clear several kind of missions, be it for Navies or Research Institutes all over the world. Various payloads can be host such as INS, magnetometers, side-scan sonars or any other payload added according to customers needs.
These unmanned vehicles can operate in swarm mode or dock in a station for longer mission time thanks to acoustics.
SPECIALIST IN UNDERWATERACOUSTICS & DRONES
UNDERWATER ACOUSTICS
RTSYS designs and builds its own underwater acoustic recorders, buoys and stations. The systems are designed either to record noise and do post-processing analysis or monitor
underwater noise in real-time. RTSYS also manufactures Defense Acoustics such as sonar calibration device, vertical antenna for acoustic signature acquisition, or sonar retrofit systems (analog to digital).
DIVERHELD SYSTEMS
Our knowledge in acoustics helps provide cutting-edge technology and led us to develop several sonar and na-vigation systems for divers. These diverhelds can be whether used for mine and UXO clearance missions, or navigation in shallow and cloudy waters.

RTSYS stands out from the crowd thanks to its innovation developed in partnership with research laboratories.
As a specialist of underwater acoustics and drones, RTsys manufactures active and passive underwater instruments, compact and fast underwater drones (AUVs) as well as portable sonar system for divers.
Thanks to its core technology "Powered by SDA", the RTsys product range has grown rapidly, catching the civil and the defence sector’s interests. In this way, a close collaboration with the French Navy has enabled us to develop our innovative underwater detection tools and drones for use in anti-submarine warfare. Our equipment are also used by foreign navies (confidential information).

DEFENSE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH OFFSHORE FIELDS
million euros of turnover in 2018
RTSYS was founded in 2010 by Raphaël Bourdon and Laurent Dufréchou, two friends and classmates of the same Engineering School located in Brest (France). They started their careers as hardware and embedded software engineers in fields such as science, automotive and marine technology.
They designed a high-performance electronic board that will be the core of all of the products of the company: the SDA14. Focused on the passive acoustic monitoring, the first product of the company was the EA-SDA14 acoustic recorder, now named RESEA, able to record over up to 4 channels. While the acoustic monitoring devices remains an important activity, several years of R&D led to high technology products such as AUVs and sonars. Those high added value products have been opening the door to new opportunities and markets worldwide.

UNDERWATER TRAINING TARGETS RECOVERABLE FOR THE FRENCH NAVY
FOCUS ON
ASW trainingTorpedo training
The light and compact, UUVs created by RTSYS, benefits from advanced acoustic capabilities and an accurate navigation system, making the SEMA a recoverable target that is relevant for the training of operators for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW).
RTSYS delivered to the Naval Action Task Training Division seve-ral mobile targets for anti-submarine warfare training. Known as APV-RT (Autonomous Portable Vehicle Recoverable Target), now SEMA, these light, compact UUVs (2,07 m long and 15 cm diameter) and fast (up to 15 knots) simulate the kinematic and acoustic behaviors of a submarine, making them perfect tools for training of sonar operators. These targets benefit of a high autonomy (up to 10 hours) and are reco-verable. This feature has a significant advantage for the environment, pre-venting the need to leave the targets in the sea after use, as is the case for expendable targets. During the preparation of a training, the operator schedules a mission integrating the navigation parameters (heading / speed / depth) and the acoustics characteristics of a submarine that the target will have to simulate by his signature or his acoustic response. Thanks to its accurate navigation system (Doppler Velocity Log, inertial unit) and its integrated GPS system in a mast the target SEMA can join, precisely, at the end of the mission a programmed point of recovery. With the help of specific tools, the recovery of the target is very easy from a light boat. Since the end of 2017, the SEMA target has been in service with the Indonesian Navy.
