PART-TIME POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Lead Teacher, three-year-olds Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30-12:30
Must have 4 year degree and experience with early childhood education.
Lesson plan individually and as a team with the other teachers.
Positive classroom management
Physical stamina to facilitate and participate in preschool activities
Strong communication skills with staff, parents, and the community
Interpersonal skills to develop good relationships with the members of the community as well as being able to understand children's needs.
Willingness to continue education through various teacher trainings and workshops

We are excited to be launching a NEW Adult Sunday School Class this fall that will touch on a variety of contemporary topics throughout the year. We will kick things off with a ten week session titled, "Intentional Parenting - 10 ways to be an exceptional parent in a quick fix world." Thought-provoking videos and workbook activities will guide group discussion on the thing we all want to talk (and vent) about most - our children! Beginning September 18, each week will focus on one action that you can begin to implement right away. This course has been put together with busy parents in mind, so there will be no expectations of homework or pre-readings and all materials will be provided.
Whether you can make it to one week or all ten, we hope you will join us for good coffee and meaningful conversation as we strive to strengthen our families and grow in our faith!

New Life in Christ Class September 18-October 16 (in our New Life in Christ room)
A BETTER COUNTRY (Preparing for Heaven)
What basis do we have to believe that life goes on after death? Do we know anything about what that life is like? Is it just wishful thinking that we might be reconnected with loved ones who have gone on before us? Will we recognize them in the hereafter? What will we do after death (eternity seems like a long time). We’ve heard a lot of things, some seem like childish tales. What does the Bible actually say about heaven, hell, judgement and even the “end of the world”?
Woodie Wood will lead us in this study and discussion of some of our deepest concerns and what we can be doing now to prepare for facing our own inevitable deaths. No prior experience in heaven or elsewhere required.

BULLETIN weekly church bulletin Notices are due by Tuesday, 3pm, to Sherri Haines, church office. ...for publication of current events, no more than two weeks out. Submissions should be no more than 75 words.
WEEKLY E-HERALD via email Forward info to Sherri Haines, church office, by 3pm, Wednesday. ...for email and facebook publication to the entire church on Thursdays, intended for time-critical events and news related to this coming weekend in our church and ministries, ONLY. Submission should be brief, of 50 words or less.
WEBSITE and FACEBOOK Submissions to the website may apply to any future date. The website is placed on most publications of the church. Facebook is best reserved for shorter-timed updates but there is an events feature that can be used, at your request, to invite people to special programs in the church.
WUMC Guest Parking You are encouraged to invite persons to attend worship and other events at our church as our guests. When doing so you might tell them of these parking spaces, Center Street lot near the steps, reserved just for them. Regular worshipers are encouraged not to use these spaces so guests will find them available.
You are invited to call or email ahead to be certain Sherri will be in the office when you arrive. Feel free to use our door mail slot for drop-offs.
If you need to visit but can’t make it by 3pm, call to coordinate an after-hours visit on Wednesday until 6pm. Call Sherri before 3pm; after 3pm, please contact Greta at x25.
