We are delighted to be entering into 2020 with renewedenthusiasm, here at Globe we always pride ourselves ondelivering an affordable yet varied selection of destinations andbreaks, 2020 will be no different; be it your first time travellingwith us or if you are one of our many returning travellers we are certain you will find something to suit your holiday needs.Our 2020 brochure features many new and exciting destinationsas well as all of your old favourites, so whether it be a one night break to London or a dual centre holiday to Torquay and Bournemouth we are confident that there will be something for you.

Who are we?A familiar name in South Yorkshire for over 66 years we have twotravel centres, one in Barnsley and the other in Bradford.

As a family run business we strive to offer that personal touch,whilst respecting that many of you choose to have a break becauseyou simply want to get away from it all and do your own thing, ourtravel centre staff have a combined experience of over 130 yearswithin the industry and have produced individual itineraries for eachholiday, details are available within the brochure itself howevershould you require further information on any of the trips pleasefeel free to ask.

Our coachesWe are delighted to have added two brand new 2019 VanHooltouring coaches to our fleet this year, for those of you whomtravelled towards the latter part of the season you will no doubthave experienced these; with rear floor mounted W/C, low levelseating and UBS sockets at every seat the coaches feel lighter andairier, many of you have commented that they are by far the most‘open’ coaches you have travelled upon, for your added comfort wehave for the 2020 season decided to reduce the number of seatsfrom 57 to 53, thus allowing you all that little bit extra leg room –luxury travel without compromise.

Our driversOur team of professional tour drivers are always on hand to assistwith any requirements you may have (within reason) and for manyof our regular travellers you will be familiar with the delights of bothAlex & Rob, for 2020 with the expansion of our programme we willbe introducing more names to the mix, Andy, Martin & Chris arealready waiting in the wings to deliver the same customerexperience, we are sure you will not be disappointed in our choices – it is after all the driver that makes the tour.

Single roomsAs you look though the brochure you will note that all prices perperson based on two people sharing a double or twin room, as withmany operators we can never obtain as many single rooms as wewould like, and whilst we strive to make it as fair as possible topassengers when travelling alone certain hotels may apply asupplement, as a company we do not profit on this element andsimply pass on to yourselves the cost levied by the hotels, wherever

possible we will try our best to accommodate with no supplement,however at the time of booking if no single rooms are available wewill confirm the additional cost at point of booking – there are nohidden extras, we will be transparent with you. There may also beoccasions whereby the hotel offer you the option of a ‘double roomfor sole occupancy’ – this guarantees you a double room for thesupplement.

Door-to-door pick up serviceOur home pick up service has proved very popular in 2019 withmany of you taking us up on this option. From April onwards allHolidays and Short Breaks of 3 days or more will include a homepick up service, this is included within the price of your holiday,should however you wish to make your own arrangements you are welcome to join us at any of our four pick up points at areduction of £15.00 per person from the price, please see page 3 for pick up areas and departure points.

LuggageA medium sized suitcase weighing no more than 15kg per person is permitted on all tours; please ensure that you adhere to this – we reserve the right to charge an additional supplement should you have oversized baggage and the ‘home-pick-up’ vehicle not be able to accommodate additional baggage.

Wheelchairs, walkers & motorisedscootersFolding manual wheelchairs and walking frames are accepted free of charge, should you wish to bring either with you please notify us at the time of booking so we can inform the driver. We havelimited capacity to transport motorised scooters, we do acceptthem however they must be able to be broken down and fit into theboot of a car, we also request that where possible you have an ablebodied travel companion to assist with the loading and off loadingon the coach; when booking a charge of £10.00 will be appliedshould you wish to bring one with you, this simply covers theadditional cost of the home pick up vehicle needed.

Special occasions whilst awayIf you, or a travelling companion are celebrating a Birthday or Anniversary whilst away please be sure to tell us at time of booking, we will arrange a special something for you on the day.

Included excursionsAt the time of booking you will be notified of what is included in the holiday, all excursions and admissions where applicable areincluded in the price – the price advertised is what you pay, there are no additions. A number of our holidays operate on what we call a ‘Take-and-Fetch’ basis, our driver will take you to the hotel, get yousettled in and then be on his way, leaving you time to explore thedestination at your leisure, on the day of return we will collect youfrom the hotel and return you home, certain times may vary fromresort to resort, you will be notified 4 weeks prior to departure ofthe full details.
