Weight Room Procedures
-Equipment and athletic facilities will be disinfected and sanitized before, during, and after Strength Camp and Skills-Spray bottles and paper towels will be at each station so that coaches can sanitize equipment after each rotation. -A 10 minute disinfectant period must pass before another group enters the weight room-Athletes will stay in the same groups throughout the camp-Athletes will maintain a 20:1 student to coach ratio-Athletes will maintain a safe distance unless they are spotting one another for safety. Students will be allowed to wear masks, but not required. -Both athletes and staff will sanitize their hands before, during, and after workout. -There will be no high fives, back slaps, or any other physical encouragement-Athletes will wear appropriate workout attire (including tennis shoes and shirt)-No athletes will allowed in the locker rooms-Athletes will be required to bring their own water bottles. Sharing water will NOT be allowed.
Weight Room ProceduresLifter A will be spotted by lifters B and C. ● Each rack is placed inside a minimum of 10x10 square foot
area.● Assign 3 kids to a rack based on experience and ability in
order to keep the lifting groups as consistent as possible. ● Water should be placed in each corner of the rack area.● Have social distancing lines placed in the front area to
define the tweener lift position.● Lifters will rotate from each letter position.● Lifters may lift with or without a mask based on their
preference.● Spotters should have their mask.● Spotters should avoid spotting directly in front of their
partner whenever possible.● The best spotting position will be to each side of the bar.● Before another lifting group (3 athletes) can rotate into this
lifting area, the rack must be sprayed with a bleach mix and allowed to dry for 5 to 10 minutes.
Transition PlanDue to the nature of the attendance and summer strength and conditioning being a voluntary activity, it is difficult to have the same groupings daily. Due to the nature of contact tracing in the case of events, our transitional plan must provide as much consistency as possible. There are four factors that are necessary to control groupings
1. Outside groupings must be no more than 15 and should be consistent from day to day. In order to control the rate of activity and rest time, coaches should manipulate the frequency of exercise with the number of lines and numbers of players in line. Example:
a. 15 kids total -- 3 lines of 5 kidsb. 10 kids total -- 2 lines of 5 kids
This allows for recovery time without having to change groupings.2. Weight rack groupings must be groups of 3 with social distancing lines. This allows for safe spotting practices to occur
that are not directly in line with the breathing pattern of the lifter. Grouping of 3 to a rack falls under the inside groups of 10 guidelines and allows for the safest way to spot a lifter correctly while avoiding transfer. Further, groups of 3 allow us to maintain weight room groups while accounting for daily absences without limiting manipulation of weight room groups.
3. Workout groups will be established by focus and experience. They will be consistent from day to day to track contact if necessary. Start and exit times will be staggered to avoid ‘pile ups” when arriving and leaving. This will also allow us to manipulate number to effective
Outside Workout Procedures● Players will stand at cones place 5 yards x 3 yards from each other● Water will be placed in designated area ● Drills will be placed in front of each line; the athlete will finish and exit the drill until the next
athlete is allowed to begin.● Outside groups will not include player on player competitions● Groups will be consistent membership in order to allow for contact tracing● Groups will not exceed 15 people● Masks are optional outside
Rain PlanIn the event that there is bad weather we will be able to utilize:

Sanitizing Plan● An alcohol / water mix solution in a spray bottle will be provided for athletes to sanitize their hands before entering the weight room arrival
area.● A coach will spray the athletes hands, observe them “wash” them before letting them enter the building. ● Hand cleaner will be available on both sides of all workout areas.
