Frequent Transit Network (FTN)

• The FTN will provide frequent and reliable service along key corridors in the urban areas of the Region

• A network operating at a 15-minute frequency (or better) all day, seven days a week

• Initial phase includes 15-minute service during weekday rush hours only

Newmarket

Impacts/Improvements:• Improve cost-efficiency by implementing an

On-Demand service using smaller vehicles• Service to new subdivisions within the

boundaries of St. John’s Sideroad, Highway 404, Green Lane and Bathurst Street

• Pick-up and drop-off at a curbed address (home or business) with connections to the closest operating route or an identified fixed address destination

• Rides can be booked and tracked using a mobile device

• Assess the discontinuation of complementing fixed-route services
