2021/2022: 4th AMENDMENT OF THE 4TH GENERATION INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT PLAN (IDP) AND 2021 AMENDED
SPATIAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK (SDF)
In terms of regula�on 3 of the Local Government Municipal Planning and Performance
Regula�ons, 2001 (Systems Act), Sec�on 27 and 34 of the Municipal Systems Act,
regula�on 3 of the above men�oned regula�ons, ar�cle 7, 20 (2&3), 21 of the Spa�al
Planning and Land Use Management Act, 2013 and ar�cle 13 of Western Cape Land
Use Planning Act, 2014 the Saldanha Bay Municipality's SDF has been amended and
been adver�sed as part of the Dra� IDP during January 2021 for public comment.
Inputs / comments were received from the Western Cape Government Department of
Environmental Affairs and Development Planning. The comments were addressed in
the compila�on of the amended SDF.
According to the Municipal Systems Act, No. 32 of 2000 (“MSA”) Saldanha Bay
Municipality invites the public to submit wri�en comments, inputs and/or
recommenda�ons on the amendment of the Municipal Spa�al Development
Framework with reference to the specific focus areas un�l 7 July 2021.
Saldanha Bay Municipality's 4th Amended of the 4th Genera�on Integrated
Development Plan (IDP) and Spa�al Development Framework (SDF) 2021 is available
on the municipal website at www.sbm.gov.za. Enquiries in this regard or persons that
