This week’s Student of the Week in Class 3 is: Esmay Caddy

Well done Esmay!

Special Visitors!Below is a photo of former pupils Keelan (O’Donnell) and Chloe (Kind) who came back for a visit to answer questions from the year 5 and 6’s about life at CSIA. Needless to say they are setting a fine example and loving life there! Chloe’s favourite subject is Geography and Keelan’s is PE.

They presented year 6 Ethan Rogers, with a kindle fire, for his enthusiasm at the Open Evening and attending a Super Saturday event.

High 5 ClubHarry Badcock will be running a High 5 Club (Netball) after school, beginning on Monday 8th October, from 3.15 – 4.15pm. These sessions are free of charge and are open to both boys and girls from Y3 upwards. We hope as many children as possible would like to take part.

No Electricity! Please support our small sacrifice and help us raise funds for Shelterbox, a charity who give aid and shelter to those in desperate crisis.

On 10th November at 10am Lilian & Rose Florence’s family are going to go without electric for 24hours to honour those affected by tragedies such as that of the Indonesia island of Sulawesi.

If you would like to make a donation, no matter how small please do so through their justgiving page - justgiving.com/fundraising/a-day-without.

Whether or not you are able to make a donation please share their information on your own social media or perhaps get involved yourselves.

Maybe together we can be a candle in someone's darkest hour.

Second-hand Uniform Sale

Mrs Florence will be holding a second-hand uniform sale on the afternoon of Friday 19th October from 3.00 – 3.30pm. Mrs Florence has a large selection to choose from, so an ideal time to stock up on spares.

Apple Day – Saturday 13th October 2018

The PTSCA will be running a stall at Apple Day on the 13th October to raise funds for the school. We would be hugely grateful for donations of:

* Chocolate & sweets (any size or type)* Bottles of wine, beer and cider (any size)* Your time!! We really need some help to man the stall so if you can give up an hour of your time, it would be greatly appreciated.

Please let Charlotte (Isla, Gabriel & Toby's mum), Sara (Ethan & Emily's mum) or Ruth (Finn's mum) know if you can help on the day. Donations can be handed over to us directly or brought into the school for us to collect. Thank you.

Topic HomeworkClass 1 are all bringing home new topic homework books with a homework grid inside. The tasks are all linked to the ‘Before Electricity’ aspect of the Back-a-long topic that Class 1 are exploring. Class 2 and Class 3 are expected to complete more literacy and maths homework, so this term, will be receiving separate environmental challenges which they will be able to carry out at home, instead of a topic homework grid.
