Top representatives from major (re)insurance groups, regulators and

supervisors from around the globe and renowned academics will gather

to debate the hot spots of international insurance supervision, focusing

on global trends in risk-based supervision and the upcoming challenges

in the implementation of global standards. You are invited to also

discuss the regulatory aspects of doing business in emerging markets

and the challenges supervision is facing nowadays, in which the

consumer’s voice plays a crucial role.

The International Center for Insurance Regulation (ICIR) and the

European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) are

glad to invite you to this year’s Conference on Global Insurance

Supervision, which will take place for the third time in the “regulatory

capital”, Frankfurt / Main. We are glad to announce that this year’s

conference is jointly organized with the Center for the Study of

Insurance Regulation, St. John’s University and the World Bank to

further promote the conference’s global setting.

The GIS conference is expected to attract over 100 attendees for one

and a half days of presentations, panel debates, break-out sessions and

networking opportunities. We aim to provide a unique platform for the

exchange of ideas and for discussions among supervisors, industry

leaders and academicians on strategic regulatory issues in the

insurance sector.

We are confident that this year’s conference will build on the success of

last year and will assist all in the public and private sector and in the

academia to move forward to structuring a global insurance regulatory

framework with a higher standard. We also offer all participants an

excellent opportunity to network throughout the conference.
