Cars and fun all around you
The 3rd year of the motorshow has brought all its visitors a lot of fun. The last weekend of August, more than 300 unconventional cars and hundreds of other exhibits were admired by almost as many as 12 000 people on the area of nearly 20 000 m2 at the exhibition ground PVA EXPO Praha Letňany.
Traditionally, a more active part of the show took place at the outdoor area of the exhibition ground. Racing karts of Praga team were rushing on the mini circuit, visitors could experience ride-and-skid rides by the Easydrift car or much calmer rides by the hybrid Opel Ampera or electric vehicle Tesla. The outdoor tuning convention, presentation of related companies or pedal go karts for children were held outdoors as well.
A fully occupied entrance hall was this year s novelty, so the visitors could get in with both most modern and historic automobile technique immedia-telly after entering the indoor area. Due to the 50th anniversary of models Skoda 1000 MB and Ford Mustang there was a largerscale show of these vehicles and there certainly was a lot to see. The first part of the main exhibition hall was occupied by Skoda vehicles: from the remote past till the present time. Ford Mustang appeared in several expositions. The auto-mobile present was represented by several supersport vehicles and racing specials, for example Martin Prokop s Ford Fiesta WRC.
Prague Car Festival is about entertainment in the first place, therefore visi-tors could enjoy plentious activities accompanying the show. A model pho-to shooting with exhibits followed by the Summer Beauty Queen and Miss Prague Car Festival contests were parts of the festival. The girls on the catwalk modelled several collections of fashion clothes and lingerie. Airbrush champions were competing at Anest Iwata Cup, which had almost 20 con-testants this year. Computer games fans were enjoying several simulators and more than 30 gamedecks. For those willing to win something there was a raffle with over 150 prizes.
The most luxurious tuning you can see in the Czech Republic was repre-sented at the Prague Car Festival. Almost 200 exhibits from seven Euro-pean countries competed in many categories; the highest awarded were unique cars, which raised the level of the show a bit higher.
This year exhibitors and visitors could join not only the programme during the day. „Fast and furious“ party was held on Saturday night and it was attended by over 200 people.
We would like to thank all participants and we are looking forward to the year 2015.
