Summer and Winter Institute have been a B’nai Havurah tradition for many years. Our weekend-long Institutes featured a Scholar-in-Residence, discussion groups, workshops and of course time for socializing. Winter Institute was held here at B’nai; Summer Institute was held offsite at the YMCA’s Snow Mountain Ranch.

Gemilut Hasadim

Gemilut Hasadim, literally meaning “the giving of loving-kind-ness,” is a fundamental social value in the everyday lives of Jew and viewed as a primary value at B’nai Havurah. It is a mitzvah that an individual completes gemilut hasadim without the antici-pation of receiving something in return. B’nai Havurah’s Chesed committee puts this value into action.
