to look continually to the Lord, that he might learn

of him how to relate to his own children.

Thanks to members of the

Parish Life Committee, and

Picnic Committee for a great

and wonderful Feast Day and

Picnic. Thanks to all

parishioners for their gifts,

love and prayer for Fr. Ugwu

and Deacon Bryant. May

God keep and bless us all.

What does the Eucharist represent in the life of

the Church?

It is the source and summit of all Christian life. In

the Eucharist, the sanctifying action of God in our

regard and our worship of him reach their high

point. It contains the whole spiritual good of the

Church, Christ himself, our Pasch. Communion

with divine life and the unity of the People of God

are both expressed and effected by the Eucharist.

Through the Eucharistic celebration we are united

already with the liturgy of heaven and we have a

foretaste of eternal life.

What are the names for this sacrament?

The unfathomable richness of this sacrament is

expressed in different names which evoke its

various aspects. The most common names are: The

Eucharist, Holy Mass, the Lord's Supper, the

Breaking of the Bread, the Eucharistic Celebration,

the Memorial of the passion, death and

Resurrection of the Lord, the Holy Sacrifice, the

Holy and Divine Liturgy, the Sacred Mysteries,

the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar, and Holy

Communion.

Your child’s Religious Education is perhaps even more important

than what they get in their school classroom. The development of

their Faith is something that will lead and guide their lives and insure

they have a loving relationship with their heavenly Father.

Make sure to register your children now for their CCD Sunday

School Classes which will begin in early September.

Both First Communion and Confirmation require a 2 year

preparation. Registration forms (one per child) are located in the rear

of the church. Complete and drop off at the Rectory.

It is time once again for all parishioners who volunteer in programs that

have substantial contact with children to complete the Children and

Adolescents Protection Program (C.A.P.P.) retraining. This

retraining is required of all personnel who have already completed their

initial C.A.P.P. training and who continue to be active in the ministries

of the Archdiocese of Mobile.

Retraining can be completed online. Personnel should be instructed to

log on to:

www.mobilearchdiocese.org.

Thank you for your good will and for placing the protection of our

youth as a top priority in your lives and communities.

Don’t forget our Free Fish

Giveaway on the 1st Thursday of

the month. Our next date is:

July 6th at 12:00 pm.

First Come, First Served!
