Observations of Omicron 1 Cygni

(SFTA 50AD)

Overview● Omicron 1 Cygni has only been measured 35 times since it was

discovered in 1800, averaging about one measurement every 6 years, and it was last observed in 2008, which we are thinking might have been an outlier data point due to our data matching to the 1800 measurements more than the 2008 data.

● Omicron 1 Cygni consists of Omicron 1 and 30 Cygni, an orange super giant and blue-white star, respectively and is in the Cygnus (Swan) constellation.

● With an average drift time of 57.51 seconds, we found the separation to be 340.9 arcseconds, and the position angle to be 324.05 degrees.
