Milano Wine Week is the first system event in Italy dedicated to the world of wine, gathering international professionals and opinion leaders, organizations, operators and consumers.
As an international wine capital, Milan is the ideal hub to host the event that, just like for other excellences such as fashion and design, represents a visibility and communication opportunity for wine companies and brands, and much more.
At its third edition, MWW features a full schedule of events, providing formation and contents to wine professionals and an innovative digital platform for the whole industry, thus allowing a wider international audience to participate in streaming.

MWW masterclasses will be streamed and can be viewed anywhere, even from wine lovers at home (in Italian).
The questions from online attendees will be gathered at the end of the masterclass.
The producer will then answer the questions in a video.

Activation of some of Milan’s most appealing districts, featuring a high number of restaurants and bars, each paired with a wine consortium.
During the whole event, the consortium’s images will be displayed all around the district, by installing large scale totems that will act as impactful communication instruments, spreading the product’s and territory’s culture.
The Wine District activities will take place in a network of bars, restaurants and wine shops in the neighborhood, where the attendees can taste the consortium wines and take part to special events (aperitifs, dinners, tastings) hosted by Milano Wine Week.

Some of the greatest Italian and international chefs, united for an exclusive project focused on wine.
StoryCooking events where each chef will create their own recipe based upon a wine from MWW’s partner producers and consortia.
The event will be streamed on the digital platform and MWW’s social media pages, becoming a tutorial for the public at home to recreate in their own kitchen, by purchasing both the wine and the ingredients via MWW’s Cellar.
The Wine Pairing project will also involve some of the greatest restaurant owners in Milan, who will create a special recipe or a menu paired with the wines from MWW’s partner producers and consortia.

MWW’S WINE CELLAR
During the whole event, Palazzo Bovara will host a special wine shop, selling a selection of the best 100 Italian wines.
The shop will be open to the public (as well as business and trade operators) and will allow the wine tastings by purchasing and entrance ticket/rechargeable card for the automatic wine distributors.
All the wines of MWW’s Wine Cellar can be purchased at the event’s online shop.

During Milano Wine Week 2020, the safety protocols about attendants distancing during the events will be strictly enforced.
According to the current laws, the Masterclasses and the Walk Around Tastings will abide by the following rules*:
Reduction of the halls capacity by 2/3 Hygiene protocol activation Distancing (2 mt) Separate entrances and exits Sanitization of all areas at the end of each tasting Sanitization of all glasses Avoidance of aggregation events (Aperitifs / Parties) Creation of special tasting stands with plexiglass dividers

The Winers: the people shaping the future of wine. This is the common thread of Milano Wine Week’s third edition.
Their personal and professional stories will be the topic of our wine
narration. A rapidly evolving sector, with regard to consumption,
production communication and, not least, contact.
A revolutionary change starting from the territory and the producers,
involving new actors, new professionals, new technologies, adding to the
sector’s growth on the international market.
MWW’S TOPIC
The masterclasses will link the wine tastings to the stories of the producers and the persons behind the label. Walk around tastings will narrate the territories through their wines and their producers.
The talks will host the protagonists of the whole production chain: from the greatest Italian and international popularizers, to ecologists, innovators, and the most successful and interesting entrepreneurship case histories.
A narration and communication value meeting the public’s attention, in a shared journey of discovery.
MILANO WINE WEEK 2020’S TOPIC
Milano Wine Week has quickly captivated a great media appeal as a mouthpiece for everything about wine. After the second edition, the third installment will feature plenty of new contents, to embrace all the players who want to reach their public in a new and different way.
The event’s official channels will be the means to tell each partner’s story and products, both to a B2B and a B2C audience.

The Wine District Map is the fundamental tool to inform the public about the Wine districts, the activities and the activated venues. Printed in over 26,000 copies, it will be the perfect support to narrate the Wine districts.
The event’s website will be the digital platform c o m m u n i c a t i n g information and activities schedule for the whole week. Partners will enjoy great visibility thanks to their logo in the home page.
The whole event will be covered daily by an intense communication on the official social media pages. The main assets will be the photo galleries and dedicated videos of the scheduled events in Palazzo Bovara, the Wine Districts, and all the locations around Milan.
D u r i n g M W W , communication billboards will be displayed in the most important streets of Milan, f rom Corso Vi t tor io Emanuele II to the Brian & Barry Building, conveying information about the event and its protagonists.
The event will be introduced by an official press conference attended by all the partners, involving the most important industry and non-industry national media. Pre- and post-event media coverage has boosted a great deal of attention about the event since its first edition.
The guide, along with Milano Wine Week’s map, will be printed in 100,000 copies and distributed in over 600 hotspots around the city, such as selected hotels, restaurants, venues and retail shops..
