The New 4-H Year

As the new 4-H year begins and you begin to enroll in your projects, please don’t order a project manual that you or a sibling have at home. Remember up to five manuals are free to you but do cost the county lots of money each year. If you have project manuals that are in good shape that you no longer need or use, bring them by the Extension Office so someone else can use them. Pub costs may go up significantly after the first of the year so enroll and make your pub selection by the December 13 deadline. Remember all re-enrolling 4-H members must have enrolled online by December 13, 2019 to be considered eligible to show at the county fair or participate in the 4-H auction. May 1 is the last day you may add or drop projects. 4-H is for anyone 8 years old and have not reached their 19th birthday as of September 1, 2019 . Anyone 5-7 years old may be a Cloverbud. So spread the word and tell your friends what a great organization 4-H is. Remember there is a $20 program fee to be a member of 4-H.

Liability Waiver A signed Liability Waiver is required for each member par-ticipating in 4-H. You may receive a form from your leader or download it from our website.

NEW 4-H YEAR RE-ENROLLMENT PROCESS il.4honline.com

Members who were enrolled in a 4-H Club during the last 4-H Year will not need to create a new profile for this 4-H Year. Just re-enroll. 1. Log into your 4-H Online Family account using the email and password you created last year. 2. Continue to Family. 3. You will see a list of all Family members. All members and leaders will be marked as inactive. 4. Choose edit for the person you wish to re-enroll. The summary screen will show information for that person. Make

changes to address, email, phone number etc. if you have any. 5. You will need to check the boxes on the Additional Information page: General Release, Photo Release, Mailings, Lan-

guages, Hispanic Origin, Family History. Remember to update your t-shirt size. 6. Click enroll for 2019-2020. 7. The participation tab lists the club(s) you were a member of last year. Shooting Sports members may have 2 clubs listed.

If you will not be in a club for the new year, remove that club by selecting delete. Cloverbuds becoming regular club members need to select the new club.

8. Projects tab will list all projects from last year. If you wish to remain in a project, you do nothing. If you are not going to exhibit in the project, remove by hitting edit-delete-update.

9. Add new projects and select project manual if needed. 10. Continue to the invoice screen. 11. This screen will show the program fee for the new 4-H Year. It should show the individual being charged $20, regardless of the number of clubs. 12. Choose the payment option Club Check. The Extension office will collect payment from each club in February. Club members are responsible for making payment to their club. New members after February 1 may pay online or by check. Multi Child Fee Waiver

Illinois 4-H has a maximum per family program fee of $60. The first 3 youth members in a family would be expected to pay the $20 per member. For the 4th youth member and beyond, the fee would be waived. Notify your county office that you have enrolled so that a discount code can be applied.

Submit the enrollment.

If you have autofill activated in your browser you may not see the “select the project manual” list. Contact the office if you have a problem. *****DON’T FORGET TO CLICK THE BOXES FOR PHOTO RELEASE, LIABILITY WAIVER, & BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES. WE WILL NOT APPROVE YOU UNTIL THOSE BOXES ARE CHECKED. YOU MUST TURN IN A HARD COPY OF THE RISK WAIVER. Paying by credit card is not a prefer method of payment. The system has a few processing

errors and retains information from past years credit cards. If the card has expired, even though you add the new card, it still tries to process through the old card causing lots of declined cards. Pay your club and we will bill them.
