Ephrata High Schools Mountaineer newspaper received second place
in Best Overall and Best FrontPage in the 7th Annual Student Press
Awards for High School Newspaper Journalism competition. Se-nior
Deb Martin received second place for Best Review. Editors Picks
went to seniors Abby Miles forEditorial and Lindsay Zwally for Best
Review. The entries will be featured in a special tabloid of
theSunday News on June 3.The Mountaineer is published four times a
year, but only the rst three issueswere judged. Judging is based on
schools of similar size and frequency of publication.Thirteen
schoolsin Lancaster County participated in the competition.
Advisers to Mountaineer are Gemma Rasmus andJeremy Bischo.
