Monday 9th October 2017 Term 4 Week 1
Welcome back to term 4.
We begin our term with a heavy heart as we have been informed of the death of Peter Collins- the husband of Mrs Simone Collins. The staff and students wish to express our deepest sympathy to Simone, their children- Maddie, Mitch, Chelsea, Ben, Hayden, Georgia and Asher and to the extended families.
We thank Miss Winkley for “stepping in” and taking over the teaching responsibilities for 1 Red. Miss Winkley will be well supported by her colleagues and we are expecting a smooth transition for the children. Miss Winkley is well known to all infant’s students as she has worked with them during the last 18 months.
Once again our school is participating in Operation Christmas Child – we are asking families to donate articles that will be packed into a shoebox – items such as something small to wear, to love, for school, to play with and for personal hygiene. Teachers will be sending details home with the children – each year we have had amazing support for this appeal so I thank you all in advance!
Regards Lyn Barnes (Principal)

TO COMPLETE THE PA R E NT SURVEY:
West Wyalong Public School is again asking for your input into further improving our school. Successful schools foster greater communication with parents, encourage parental involvement in their child’s schoolwork, and engage parents in school activities. The Partners in Ling Parents survey is a questionnaire covering aspects of your views on your child(ren)’s experiences at school. We need you to complete a survey to help us determine which school programs need updating or changing. We need as many surveys as possible completed so the voice of all parents are heard.
The survey can be accessed at https://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/63b3h The survey is accessible until Midnight Friday October 13th, 2017.
When you have completed your Parent Survey please send the attached slip back to school and your child/children will receive 10 points on their reward
chart! If you have already filled in the survey – send in the attached slip so your
child/children get their points. Thank you.
