    and has yet three million copies of his print. Dr. Johnsons education includes a degree in

    psychology from the university of southernCalifornia , an M.D. degree from the royalcollege of surgeons in Ireland , and medicalclerkships at Harvard medical school and themayo clinic.

    The book is about a young man who wantsto be a successful manager for which he

    visits to different places in search of anefficient manager who can share hissecrets for success with this young man.

    He meets many managers but was not

    satisfied with their answers,but one fine dayhe meets a person who is very famous forhis smart work . This person declares himselfto be a ONE MINUTE MANAGER

    One minute goal setting is the foundationfor one minute management.

    the one minute manager always makes itclear to his employees about theirresponsibilities and accountability.

    The one minute manager feels that a goal

    and its performance standard , should nottake more than 250 words to express . heinsists that anyone should be able to read itwithin a minute.

    1.Agree on your goals.2.See what good behavior looks like.

    3.Write out each of your goal in a piece ofpaper using less than 250 words4.Read and re-read each goal , whichrequires only a minute or so each time you doit.

    5.Take a minute every once in a while out ofyour day to look at your performance , and6.See whether or not your performancematches your goal.

    1.Tell people right from start that you are

    going to let them know how they are

    doing.2.Praise people immediately.

    3.Tell people what they did right.

    them feel how you feel.

    6.Encourage them to do more of thesame.

    that you support their success in theorganization.

    1.Tell the people beforehand that you aregoing to let them know how they are doingand in no uncertain terms.

    The first half of the reprimand: 2.Reprimand people immediately. 3.Tell people what they did wrong-be

    specific.

    4.Tell people how you feel about what theydid wrong-and in no uncertain terms.

    5.Stop for a few seconds of comfortablesilence to let them feel how you feel.

    The second half of the reprimand:

    6.shake hands , or touch them in a way thatlets you know you are honestly on their side.

    7.remind them how much you value them.

    8.Reaffirm that you think well of them butnot of their performance in its situation.

    9.realize that when the reprimand is over ,its over.

    10.learn to laugh on your own mistakes andthen correct them.

    Still few people like me do not like reading ,but after reading this book I have reallygained interest in reading , I have learnt alot from this book and have also started

    implementing some of my learnings in mydaily life.
