Upon arrival, I was met by other - Charles Bauman. Charles stated he had an unwanted guest in his room that refused to leave. I made contact with other - Brian Davis. I asked Brian why he refused to leave. Brian stated he was never asked to leave. Brian was placed on the trespass list by the motel staff. Both subjects were checked for any outstanding warrants or illegal substances with no results. Brian left the area without further incident. The call was closed with no further police action needed at this time. 6119 Lee Hwy 17-047759 5/21/2017 3:15:00AM 250 Counterfeiting/Forgery On 05/21/2017 at 03:18 hours, Officer Alex Olson (66494) responded to a Counterfeiting/Forgery at 6119 Lee Hwy. I arrived at the scene responding to a customer paying with two counterfeit twenty dollar bills, both had serial number JL86284994E. Reporting party, Jerome Stewart stated customer came into store and paid with first counterfeit bill and then returned with a second counterfeit bill. Upon arrival police spoke with the complainant Mrs. Sharon Dragg she stated that her husband Mr. Dontae Thomas had been drinking and started to get aggressive. She stated she just wanted him gone for the night. Mr Dontae agreed that he would sleep somewhere else for the night. No further incident occurred. 3506 Wauchula St 17-047792 5/21/2017 9:30:00AM 240 MVT/Passenger Vehicle On 05/27/2017 at 14:20 hours, SGT GROVER WILSON #953 (60677) wrote a continuation/supplement for a MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 400 S. Lovell Ave. (East Ridge). I, SGT Wilson, responded to the East Ridge Police Department to collect a .380 shell casing found in a stolen vehicle that had been recovered by the ER Police Department. The vehicle was recovered at 400 S. Lovell Ave. I took the shell casing to property under number #17-2192. The ERPD complaint number is 17-5553). On 05/21/2017 at 03:18 hours, Officer Alex Olson (66494) responded to a Counterfeiting/Forgery at 6119 Lee Hwy. I arrived at the scene responding to a customer paying with two counterfeit twenty dollar bills, both had serial number JL86284994E. Reporting party, Jerome Stewart stated customer came into store and paid with first counterfeit bill and then returned with a second counterfeit bill.Counterfeit bills were seized and turned into the property division as evidence for Secret Service to investigate.

On 05/21/2017 at 03:57 hours, Officer Retchko, Jacob (66992) and Officer Shelor (78349) reported a disorder at 3210 Broad St Apt 27. Upon arrival police spoke with the complainant Mrs. Sharon Dragg she stated that her husband Mr. Dontae Thomas had been drinking and started to get aggressive. She stated she just wanted him gone for the night. Mr Dontae agreed that he would sleep somewhere else for the night. No further incident occurred.

On 05/27/2017 at 14:20 hours, SGT GROVER WILSON #953 (60677) wrote a continuation/supplement for a MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 400 S. Lovell Ave. (East Ridge). I, SGT Wilson, responded to the East Ridge Police Department to collect a .380 shell casing found in a stolen vehicle that had been recovered by the ER Police Department. The vehicle was recovered at 400 S. Lovell Ave. I took the shell casing to property under number #17-2192. The ERPD complaint number is 17-5553). The shell casing is releasable to SGT Josh May for testing.

He says that his 2015 Subaru Legacy was on the parking lot of the St. John Apartments and sometime during the night, an unknown party broke out the left side front window of his vehicle. He says the unknown rummaged through the vehicle, but there was nothing of value in it to steal.R52/D01

On 05/21/2017 at 14:40 hours, Officer Allen Griffith (60164) reported a memo at 5478 Highway 153 at he Walgreens and spoke to Albert Sweat. Mr. Sweat stated that he was having some problems with a green dot card that he had loaded money on but had figured out what the issue was before police arrived. Mr. Sweat stated that the staff at the Walgreens were nice enough to help him. No further police action.

On 05/21/2017 at 18:20 hours, Officer Hans Anderson (75367) reported a verbal disorder at 122 Shawnee Trl. Upon arrival, police met with both parties separately. Police first met with Zachary Faulkner, who stated that while he was walking his dog, he walked into someone's yard at 122 Shawnee Trl. A woman (Robin Beamon) then came out of the house and began yelling at him to get off her property. According to Mr. Faulkner, Ms. Beamon yelled racial slurs at him, then went into her house and came back outside with a blue bag, yelling that she would kill him if he came back on her property. Mr. Faulkner stated that he never saw a gun, but he thought she had a gun in the bag. Police also spoke with Ms. Beamon, who stated that she saw Mr. Faulkner enter her yard even though she has clearly marked signs that say "No Trespassing" on her property. She then went outside and yelled at him to get off her property. According to Ms. Beamon, Mr. Faulkner then "got smart" with her, and then Mr. Faulkner's wife came running up and began yelling and cursing back at Ms. Beamon. According to Ms. Beamon she never threatened Mr. Faulkner and stated to police that she doesn't even have a gun. Ms. Beamon let police check inside her house for a blue bag. Police looked around inside Ms. Beamon's house but did not see any such bag as described by Mr. Faulkner.No further police action required at this time.

On 05/21/2017 at 19:10 hours, Officer Hans Anderson (75367) responded to a Shoplifting at 3635 Brainerd Rd. Upon arrival, police met with store staff who informed police that an unknown female pushed a buggy full of Tide Laundry Detergent out of the store without paying for the items. Per store policy, associates are not allowed to attemp to stop shoplifters or pursue them. No description of the suspect was given, but police watched video footage of the theft and observed a large black female with long wavy hair pushing a buggy full of Tide Laundry Detergent out of the store without paying for it.No further police action required at this time.

On 05/22/2017 at 02:17 hours, Officer Ryan Lynn (73508) reported a memo at 7301 E Brainerd Rd. Upon arrival, I was met by complainant Matthew Askew. Matthew stated that he was visiting his girlfriend at the Inn Town Suites earlier this evening. Matthew stated he left the motel and felt like he was being followed. Matthew said he drove to Browns Ferry Rd. in attempt to lose the people following him. Matthew stated he finally returned home. While Matthew was inside his residence, he stated he heard voices outside his door. Matthew was worried his vehicle might get broken into or stolen. I searched the area for any suspicious persons, but was unsuccessful. The call was closed with no further police action needed at this time.

On 05/21/2017 at 02:51 hours, Officer Alex Olson (66494) reported a memo at 1511 Eucalyptus Dr. I arrived on the scene and spoke with Lekisha Davis who was crying and visibly upset. She was involved in an argument with Jermaine Madden prior to my arrival. No physical contact was made in the course of their argument and I confirmed this during the course of my interview with both parties. Jermaine was allowed to leave the location in route to his mothers house without incident. Lekisha stayed at the location (1511 Eucalyptus Dr.)

On 05/22/2017 at 06:35 hours, Officer Adam Krystaponis (75508) responded to 3404 Amnicola Hwy on a report of a Property Found at 2001 Windsor St. Upon arrival, I spoke with a Ms. Angela Womac, who stated that as she was leaving her patient's apartment at 2001 Windsor St at 0600 this morning, she observed a jacket and small black zippered bag in grass by the church outside 2001 Windsor St. Ms. Womac stated she left the jacket at this location since it was very wet, but she did not want to leave the small bag, since she found it contained a video game system. Inside the bag was a blue Nintendo DS with a spiderman sticker, another smaller velcro bag, and 7 DS games. On the outside of the bag was written the name "Marshon Usher" but Ms. Womac was unfamiliar with that name, and I was unable to find any police records with that name. The bag and it's contents were turned into CPD property as Found. No further police action required.

On 05/22/2017 at 06:45 hours, Officer Trumbo, M (75388) reported a memo at 2333 Mccallie Ave. Upon arrival police met with a party that stated her purse was stolen. While talking to police, police noticed several inconsistencies to her story. During this time police tried to get a better understand of the situation, the party became uncooperative and left the scene without giving any more info to police. No further action taken at this time.

2109 Wilder St17-048087 5/22/2017 7:00:00AM 91Z Property Found

On 05/22/2017 at 07:21 hours, Officer D. Cogburn (62182) responded to a Property Found at 2109 Wilder Street. Upon arrival, Police found several clothing items and an ID card along with about 15 cents worth of change. Police took the found items to property and stored them under property number 17-2120. No additional information was available at the time of report. Police spoke to the complainant but she did not wish to be identified.

On 05/23/2017 at 10:03 hours, Officer Mayweather (61094) wrote a continuation/supplement for a MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 1002 Sheridan Ave. The reported stolen vehicle has been returned home by Mr. Christopher Gauldin. Miss. Tawana Lomnick no longer wants to prosecute. I waited to see if he would return the vehicle back home before doing the warrant since they live together. I removed the vehicle from NCIC. No further action taken.

2136 Chapman Rd17-048129 5/22/2017 10:44:00AM 240 MVT/Passenger Vehicle

On 05/24/2017 at 01:21 hours, I Officer J. Noble #818 observed a vehicle parked in the driveway of 408 S Germantown Rd. that matched the description of a stolen 2017 Kia Sportage (bronze in color). Upon checking the VIN, I was able to verify and confirm that the vehicle was stolen (NIC #V309204015). At the time of contact, the vehicle was unoccupied. I attempted to make contact with people inside that residence however, they refused to come to the door. The vehicle was then taken out of NCIC as stolen and Airport Wreckers responded to the scene and towed the vehicle to 1709 Chickamauga Loop per the owners request. No further police action was required.

On 05/22/2017 at 11:30 hours, Officer Stansberry (61910) responded to a Shoplifting at 2100 Hamilton Place Blvd. Officers responded to White Barn regarding a theft of scented candles valued at approximately $513,00. The theft occurred on Sunday 05/21/17 at approximately 1730 hours, approximately thirty minutes before the mall closes. The only description provided at this time was three black females 23 - 28 years of age. No other clothing descriptions , tattoos, physical features or video surveillance at this time.

On 05/22/2017 at 14:00 hours, Officer Mansell (39154) responded to a Property Lost at 1400 Market St. Ms. Peters that between the hours of 2000hrs and 2200hrs she left her cell phone on a shuttle bus downtown. She had no insurance on the phone. And, the locater was turned off.

2600 Wilcox Blvd17-048235 5/22/2017 3:08:00PM 91Z Miscellaneous Information

On 05/22/2017 at 15:09 hours I, Officer Crawford (71962), reported a memo at 2600 Wilcox Blvd, Chattanooga, TN 7406. I observed a 2004 Licoln Town blocking the right lane of travel east bound on Wilcox Blvd. I made contact with the vehicle, but it was not occupied at that time. I checked both gas stations in the area, but i was not able to locate the owner. The vehicle was registered to a Charles Sledge at 1138 W. Mississippi Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37406. Police were not able to make contact with the owner at that location either. Ault's Towing was notified at that time. Ault's Towing came and towed the vehicle back to their lot at 2415 E Main St, Chattanooga, TN 37406.

This case was reviewed and they are no leads on a suspect in this attempt auto theft case, the case will be suspended and if a lead is developed a investigator will then be assigned to follow up.

On 05/22/2017 at 22:20 hours, PST Mcmahan (61444) responded to a Other Theft/Non-Specific at 2323 Green Forest Dr. The victim said that his lawn mower was still under his car port when he left home this morning at about 8 am. When he got back at about 5 pm, he discovered that it was gone. This report was taken by phone.

On 05/22/2017 at 03:44 hours, Officer Alex Olson (66494) reported a memo at 3831 Wilcox Blvd. I arrived on the scene and the reporting party, Ray Howard, who was waste management employee with the City of Chattanooga Public works department was standing next to a garbage container. Kathleen Strobel was laying on the pavement disoriented and did not know which apartment was her residence. We located her apartment and assisted her inside. Once she was back in her apartment she was able to establish she was home safely.

5000 13th Ave17-048433 5/23/2017 4:09:00AM 23F Theft from Motor Vehicle

On 05/23/2017 at 04:15 hours, Officer Patrick Fugitt (68397) responded to a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 5000 13th Ave. Once on scene, police made contact with Lisa Tomasiello, victim. Ms. Lisa stated she and her husband Andrew Brellis were driving in the area of 13th Avenue and E 50th Street when they were flagged down by an older b/m (unknown name and description). Ms. Lisa stated the older b/m asked them for a ride and Ms. Lisa and her husband told the b/m they would give him a ride. Ms. Lisa stated while clearing out the back seat for the older b/m to sit down and gold sedan pulled up beside them and a heavy set b/m (unknown name or any further description), got out of the gold sedan and walked up to the driver's side window where Lisa's husband was sitting. Ms. Lisa stated the heavy set b/m reached into the vehicle and pulled the keys out of the ignition. Ms. Lisa stated the heavy set b/m along with the older b/m ran back to the gold sedan and took off traveling toward Rossville Blvd. Ms. Lisa stated her husband's brother in-law was following them at the time of this incident in a truck and stated Andrew, her husband, and his brother in-law Scott Brellis took off after the b/m suspects. Ms. Lisa stated her husband told her to call a tow truck and just go home. Police made several attempts to reach Mr. Brellis but could not reach him by phone. Ms. Lisa could not give any further description of the b/m suspects except for the ones listed above. Ms. Lisa also stated to police she did not wish to make report at this time concerning the theft of the keys and stated her husband Andrew would take care of it. Due to Andrew not being on scene police did a report anyways in case Andrew calls police on a later date. Ms. Lisa called Doug Yates towing on her own to tow the vehicle to her home at 2063 Lee Street in East Ridge. Police also found two debit cards near Ms. Lisa's vehicle. Ms. Lisa stated the debit cards could possibly belong to one of the suspects but stated she was unsure if she observed one of the suspects drop the cards or not. One of the debit cards had James Stamper printed on the card and the other did not have a name listed. Those cards will be turned into property. Nothing further to report at this time.

On 05/23/2017 at 09:54 hours, Officer Clifton Glenn (60757) responded to a Other Theft/Non-Specific at 5222 Old Hixson Pike. I spoke with Mrs. Katherine Killebrew. She stated that sometime last night, an unknown party(s) came onto the property and stole the outside unit of their Trane heat pump. She says the unit is located on the right side of the building but is not visible from the roadway. She says this same thing happened in May 2016 and will cost $5,000.00 to replace the unit.

On 05/23/2017 at 16:59 hours I, Officer McGrath responded to a well being check 5609 Brainerd Rd (Krispy Kreme). Upon arrival, I spoke to Michael Parker. Mr. Parker stated that he has been having several medical issues that cause him to be in lots of pain. Mr. Parker stated that he was just sleeping and not moving to keep from being in pain. Mr. Parker refused to discuss exactly what medical issues he had but did mention that his ankles were causing him a lot of pain. Mr. Parker did not appear at all to be intoxicated. Mr. Parker refused any emergency medical attention. No further.

On 05/24/2017 at 08:52 hours, Officer D. Russell (63833) responded to a disorder at LP3 Erlanger parking lot where I met with Sherry Valenzuela. Mrs. Valenzuela reported to me that once she arrived in the parking lot a gray VW pulled next to her and parked. Sue Cyphers, the driver of the VW then proceeded to get out of her vehicle. Upon doing so she struck Mrs. Valenzuela's vehicles running board. Mrs. Valenzuela then asked Mrs. Cyphers if she could please be more careful while opening her door. Mrs. Valenzuela then stated that Mrs. Cyphers became irate and began to yell at her. Mrs. Valenzuela stated that Mrs. Cyphers then left for a moment and then returned shortly after continuing to yell. Upon Mrs. Cyphers return she then began to open her door striking Mrs. Valenzuelas' truck repeatedly and state to Mrs. Valenzuela how do you like that. There was no damage to the vehicle. Mrs Valenzuela then stated that Mrs. Cyphers then got into the VW and parked into another spot. Once Mrs. Cyphers parked her car she then returned to Mrs. Valenzuela's vehicle and started to record her while Mrs. Valenzuela was putting on her Makeup. Mrs. Valenzuela then said to Mrs. Cyphers "why are you acting like a bitch". Mrs. Cyphers then proceeded to head into work. No futher.

Mr. Williams was patted down and officers recovered an I.D. card belonging to Billy Joe Louis of Virginia. Mr. Williams said his friend lost the card and he was holding onto it for him. Officers then ran Mr. Williams for any warrants or priors. Mr. Williams was released on his own recognizance. The Virginia I.D. was then turned into property.

Complainant Paul Boylan stated there is a history of 18 other unauthorized checks written to Mr. prides personal account. Complainant Paul Boylan values that the total amount of currency to be $6,100. victim A.G.A wish to press charges. Notified Car 153 of the incident.

On 05/24/2017 at 14:45 hours, Officer Kilpatrick (68405) was dispatched to 3020 Lightfoot Mill Rd for a found property. Upon arrival Officers made contact with Bertha Brown who reported she found a briefcase during her midday walk. Bertha found the briefcase around the 3000 block of Lightfoot Mill Rd. Upon officers initial search of the bag, information with the name Matthew McDonald was discovered. Officers made contact with Mr. McDonald and learned that his computer case; with lap top, i-pad, and Bose speaker; was taken from his vehicle. Mr. McDonald stated he was unsure when or where the crime could have occurred. The briefcase and all contents were turned into property at that time. No other investigative leads were available at that time.

On 05/24/2017 at 14:30 hours, Officer L Gregory (71964) responded to a MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 1308 E Main St. Upon arrival I came in contact with Melissa Perez who stated she was unloading items out of her truck and she went inside but left the keys in the truck. Ms. Perez stated an unknown party stole the truck and went west on E Main St towards downtown. Ms. Perez did not have any suspect information. A short time later Ms. Perez had a friend call her and inform her that they had located her stolen truck near her store at 1308 E Main St. The vehicle was recovered with no damage. The vehicle was unable to be entered into NCIC due to lack of tag/VIN information. No further police action was needed.

Upon arrival at United Grocery complainant stated the subject (Lugene Hudgins) attempted to purchase groceries with a fake hundred dollar bill. The subject Mr, Hudgins awaited for police to arrive and stated he did not realize the bill was fake. Mr; Hudgins stated he obtained the bill from an elderly woman whom he cuts her grass and she resides down the street. The subject stated he only knows her as Matty. The bill was placed in CPD property division 17-2150 and labeled as Motion Picture fake money. At this time there is no further information.

On 05/24/2017 at 20:39 hours, Officer D. Turnbull (71992) reported a delayed disorder at Steak and Shake at 5112 Hixson Pike. I spoke with Gary Broome who told me that he owed John Treppard some money, but told him that he would pay him later this week. Mr. Broome went outside on break and Mr. Treppard pulled up in a gold Tahoe and jumped out of the vehicles along with two black males, Columbus Upshaw Sr and Columbus Upshaw Jr, and started yelling and cursing at Mr. Broome. Mr. Broome told me that he yelled back at them and his two friends, Roy Lewis and Joshua Smith saw all three parties surrounding him and they jumped out of their vehicle and pulled a chainsaw out of their trunk. Mr. Broome told me that as soon as they pulled the chainsaw out of their trunk, then Mr. Upshaw pulled up his shirt and he believes that it was a gun that he saw on Mr. Upshaw. All three parties then got into the Tahoe and sped off. Mr. Lewis and Mr. Smith also left the scene. Mr. Broome told me that he did not call police about anything so he's not sure who called about the incident. I then spoke with all the other parties involved and they told me the same story, but Mr. Upshaw denied having a gun and did not have a gun on him when I located him at his residence.

Ryan informed me that around 7pm this evening he went out to his vehicle and was eating. After his lunch break was over he returned to work and didn't return to his vehicle until around 10pm. It was during this time that Ryand discovered that the plastic window on his jeep wrangler had been cut and the items in his vehicle had been taken. Leggett states while unloading groceries from the trailer at the Sun Rise Market at this location and while he was in the store, he observed two young black males enter the trailer of the semi and steal 2 cases containing various cigarettes valued at $2800. The subjects then left south on Hixson Pike in brown car possibly Pontiac. Tag number was provided but it was found not on file. No other suspect info or leads at this time.

Mr. Guillermo Alvarez, a Greyhound bus driver, claimed that Mr. Kentrail Teal, a passenger, had slammed on the bus brakes while the bus was in motion. Mr. Alvarez also stated that Mr. Teal broke safety standards by crossing the safety line while the bus was in motion and opening the safety door. Mr. Teal claimed that he had not stepped on the brake and just wanted to get off the bus because he had a connecting bus. Most of the passengers agreed with Mr. Teal's story. Mr. Alaverz was sent on his way so he could keep his bus schedule and get passengers to their destination. Mr. Teal was released to make his next bus connection. No further.

On arrival, I spoke with victim Robert Watson who reported that an unknown suspect stole a tool box full of tools out of the bed of his truck. The victim parked in the parking lot of Harbor Freight and was only inside for a few minutes. A witness (William Smith) was in the parking lot and observed a green minivan park beside the victims truck. A black male opened the sliding door of the van, took the toolbox and then placed it in the van. The vehicle then left driving west on Brainerd Rd. I did not see any cameras on the parking lot. The witness said he would be able to identify the suspect if he saws him again. I checked the parking lot of several pawn shops but did not see the suspect vehicle. Nothing further to report at this time.

On 05/25/2017 at 1625, I, Ofc. Gunn 351, received a call of a Theft at 490 Greenway View Dr, Catos. Upon arrival, I spoke with an employee of Catos, Taylor Nabors. Ms. Nabors stated that at approximately 1515, a black female and black male entered the store and took multiple clothing items. Specifically, the female was wearing a khaki ball cap, a green flower top, and blue jeans. The male was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. The two suspects took nine clothing items. Ms. Nabors was unable to tell me specifically what clothing items were taken, however, she did inform me that the items totaled over $200.00. The two suspects, after taking the unpaid for clothing, jumped into a dark green Subaru hatchback (partial ) and took off. The suspect's and vehicle's descriptions were BOLO'd to officers city wide. There is no other suspect information in this case. Nothing further.

Mrs. Powell stated that recently a car pulled down her driveway and when she opened the garage door they drove away. I went to approach Mr. Taylor and he stated that he had a BB gun in his pocket and he was detained so I could safely check to see if the gun was in fact a BB gun. On 05/26/2017 at 00:02 hours, Officer Branam (70776) responded to a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 4110 Shallowford Rd. On arrival, I spoke to a Ms. Nisa King. She stated that she was at the Walmart at this location to pick up her mother. She believes that while she was inside the store, an unknown suspect entered into the unlocked front passenger door and took her purse from the front driver side floorboard. I relocated to the Loss Prevention Office inside the Walmart to review the video footage from their parking lot. Walmart had a camera looking directly at her vehicle; however, during the 15 minutes she was inside the store, no one entered into her vehicle. Ms. King stated that she has already looked everywhere for the purse and that the suspect took the ashtray as well. There are no witnesses to this incident.

Upon my arrival, I spoke with the complainant, Alexander Garcia. He is a fruit vendor for the BP Service Station. Mr. Garcia stated that he entered the store to make his delivery. While he was inside, an unknown suspect entered into his unlocked vehicle, which is a 2001 Toyota Camry, 4-door, white in color, and drove away. The registration tag is Tennessee , VIN #4T1BG22K21U836462. Unknown direction of travel. I spoke with the station manager, in order to review the video surveillance footage. The manager was unable to upload the video footage. I notified NCIC and obtained NIC #V899294258. At this time there are no leads, witnesses, or suspect information.

On 05/26/2017 at 12:15 hours, Officer McFarland (62203) responded to a Theft & Recovery/Other at 3801 Rossville Blvd. Upon arrival, I spoke with the victim, Sandra Bryant, who stated her bicycle had been stolen from Chubby's Restaurant where she works. She stated that her bike was stolen by an unknown white male wearing a green shirt and khaki pants. Police had no further suspect information at the time of the original report. Police were later called back due to the suspect returning the bicycle. Police met Samuel Shirley who stated he had never seen the bike there before so he took it. Mr. Shirley stated he was later approached, by employees of Chubby's, about the bike so he returned it to its owner. Ms. Bryant stated she did not wish to prosecute Mr. Shirley. Police ran Mr. Shirley for warrants and released him without incident.

On 05/26/2017 at 17:55 hours, Police responded to 4504 Haynes Ln for a fraud. Upon arrival, Police spoke to the victim, Eddie Williams, who stated he posted a vehicle for sale on Ebay a few weeks back. A party contacted him stating he would pay $1,000 for the vehicle and also extra money to ship it to Florida. Mr. Williams continued that he received a check for $4,000 and deposited the check into his bank. After doing so, the suspect then stated he sent too much and asked for some of the money back. Mr. Williams then withdrew $2,743 from his account and did a direct deposit into the suspects account at Wells Fargo bank. After doing this he discovered the suspect canceled the original check of $4,000 causing Mr. Williams to send his own money to the suspect.

He states last date at 2102 hours after the business was closed, they received a phone call from an unknown person which their answering machine recorded. Womack states he heard what he belives someone saying hands up. Womack felt this was suspicous and possibly someone getting robbed. I tried to call the number back provided by caller I.D. and received no answer. At this time I have no other info to pursue and no reason to believe a crime was commited or someone was in need of assistance.

On 05/25/2017 at 16:00 hours, Officer Rebecca Crites (37516) responded to a Shoplifting at 366 Northgate Mall Dr. David Fitzgerald, Manager of Ulta, reports on 5/22/17 at 1444 hours a B/M and B/F entered the store selected 21 fragrances ($1,700.00) and concealed items in the B/Fs purse. Both suspects left the store without paying for items. David Fitzgerald reports he approached the B/M and tol him to give him back the stolen items. The B/M gave him some of the fragrances back. Both suspects exited the store and entered a brown/green older SUV with rear window taped up. Stills will be sent to CPDSWORN . This incident was caught on video surveillance.

Ms. Shapira stated that the other driver and herself exited there vehicles and looked for damage on both vehicles. Both drivers agreed that they did not see any damage at that time. Ms. Shapira then noticed damage on her vehicle at 1300 hrs. Ms. Shapira could not conform when or where the damage occurred. The vehicle sustained damage consisting of tear in the rear passenger side bumper. No further.

On 05/26/2017 at 1717, I, Ofc. Gunn 351, received a call of a Fraud at 5844 Brainerd Rd. Upon arrival, I spoke with Carrie Harris. Ms. Harris stated that at approximately 1230 hours, she was inside of Conns Furniture Store. Ms. Harris was approached by two black females. One female looked to be in her 40's and the other in her 60's. Ms. Harris stated that the two females approached Ms. Harris and the 40 year old female stated that she had found a large sum of money. Specifically, the 40 year old female stated that she had found 60,000 dollars. The 40 year old female informed Ms. Harris that if Ms. Harris gave the female 20,000 dollars, the female would give Ms. Harris half of the 60,000 dollars. Ms. Harris willingly gave the female 20,000 dollars. The female then informed Ms. Harris that a male would meet Ms. Harris in Conns Furniture Store with 30,000 dollars. The famale then left. Ms. Harris waited in the furniture store for the male party to meet her, however, Ms. Harris realized it was a scam once no one showed up. Ms. Harris wanted a police report to document the situation. There is no suspect info in this case. Nothing further.

The victim said that he last saw his backpack in his car last Tuesday at about 8 pm and it was parked at home. The car stayed parked overnight and the next morning at about 10 am, he discovered that the backpack was gone, which contained his pistol. He believes that one of the car doors may have been left unlocked by accident. He did not have the serial for the gun at this time, so it could not be entered into NCIC. This report was taken by phone.

No cat was found but police did find the vehicle owner (other #1), his wife, their two kids, and the cat down by the water. Upon arrival police spoke with Mr. Bonner who stated that he was cleaning his Glock 42 once he was finished cleaning. Mr. Bonner loaded the weapon then took it back apart with out clearing the weapon and a round was fired. The bullet then passed through 2 walls in Mr. Bonners duplex then through 2 walls in Mr. Edgington's duplex before stopping in the exterior siding wall. No one was harmed in this incident. She said that a manager there told her that the suspect was a white heavy set female and had claimed that the victim had authorized her to get the check, which is untrue. No other info available.

On 05/26/2017 at 21:37 hours, Officer D. Turnbull (71992) reported a misc complaint at 5873 Lake Resort Ter. I spoke with Wendy Springfield who told me that she lives in Apt E3 and her boyfriend, Eugene Bridges, and her got into an argument tonight and she left the apartment to cool off. Ms. Springfield told me that when she came back, she found that Mr. Bridges had locked the door and would not let her get her dog or other belongings out so she could stay at a friend's house. Mr. Bridges then left the house before police arrived on scene. Ms. Springfield told me that she was calling the manager to see how she can get into her apartment. The manager told Ms. Springfield to call a locksmith out to open the door for her. Ms. Springfield called out a locksmith and she told me that she was going to get her dog and some of her belongings out of the apartment whenever the locksmith got on scene and she would stay at her friend's house for the night.

Upon my arrival at the Embassy Suites, I spoke with the complainant, Mr. Eddie Elliott Jr. He stated that sometime in the middle of the night, an unknown suspect entered into the parking lot of the hotel and jabbed a hole in both of the front tires of Mr. Elliott's vehicle, which is a 2012 Nissan Altima, gray in color, Georgia registration , and VIN #1N4BL2AP9CN484657. The management at the hotel was unable to catch the suspect on video. At this time there are no leads, witnesses, or suspect information.

He did not have a shirt, but wore a black open sleeveless jacket, black pants, a pair of thermal socks, and black tennis shoes. He had on his person, cigarette butts, a bottle of water, a banana, and an apple. He held a silver in color old classic watch, with a chain in his hand. He had pleasant manners, and a soft voice. He had open holes in his ears, from where he wore hoop earrings. He hair was long dreads. He told me that he was walking to Washington DC. I asked him how long had he been walking. He replied, about three years. He continued by saying that he was a traveler. I explained to him that it was not safe to be on the interstate. Clearly it was not safe. I transported him off of the interstate, to the Kangaroo Service Station in Ooltewah.

She stated that her dog, a white pitbull, had been living in her father's home. She returned to the residence to pick up her dog to find out that her father had given the dog to his neighbor (Micahel Davis). She then asked the neighbor to return the dog but they refused. Ms. Johnson showed documentation to police proving she had purchased the dog. Police spoke with Mr. Davis and his wife and they agreed to return the dog. The dog was then returned to Ms. Johnson.

Police tried to make contact with Sandy Prueitt inside the house but she initially refused to answer the door. After repeated attempts to make contact with Ms. Prueitt she finally came outside and spoke with police. She initially stated she did not want Mr. Prueitt to take anything out of the house but then decided it was acceptable for him to grab the few things he had left in the house. Mr. Prueitt collected a few things which both parties decided were his and loaded them on the trailer. Any items in question Mr. Prueitt left with Ms. Prueitt at the house. Police stayed on scene until Mr. Prueitt left with his belongings. Nothing further to report.

On 05/27/2017 at 19:46 hours, I, MPO Ric Engle (60825) responded to a Credit Card/ATM Fraud at Home Depot, 1944 Northpointe Blvd. Upon arrival, I spoke to the victim, Joseph Walker. The victim told me his bank, TVFCU, had called him about a possible fraudulent charge at Home Depot in the amount of $352.72. The victim did not make the purchase at the store. I reviewed the in store video and discovered the suspect was an unknown black female. She purchased 3 $100 gift cards on the victim's account. The victim still had his debit card and it appears to have been cloned. No other police action taken at this time.

On 05/27/2017 at 20:22 hours, Officer Bernitt (77564) responded to a Shoplifting at 2220 Hamilton Place Blvd. Upon arrival police spoke with Hailey Owenby, the store manager, who stated two unknown individuals, one black male and one black female, loaded various perfumes in a bag and then passed all points of sale without paying for the items. The individuals were confronted by staff and the suspects fled the scene in a green Subaru with a busted out back window with a trash bag covering it up. The total of the theft was 1,945 dollars. No other suspect information is known at this time. Nothing further to report.

On 05/27/2017 at 21:20 hours, Officer Smith, Zachary (77584) reported a memo at 918 Hamilton Ave. Upon arriving I made contact with the complainant April Wilbanks who had been in a disorder with her girlfriend Laura Wells. Ms. Wilbanks stated they had been arguing when Ms. Wells threw up her hands and hit her in the face. I observed no visible mark on Ms. Wilbanks and she further stated that the contact may have been accidental and Ms. Wells just threw her hands up out of frustration not to intentionally strike her. Ms. Wells had left the area at the time of my arrival and police checked the area, but failed to locate her. Ms. Wilbanks further stated that she didn't want any charges or actions taken against Ms. Wells, that it was just a verbal disorder. She stated she didn't need any further assistance from police and informed me that she was leaving to stay with her cousin. I stayed in the area until Ms. Wilbanks safely left.

She stated she parked the vehicle at approximately 2230 hours the evening prior. She stated when she came back to her vehicle this morning, she discovered her belongings were scattered inside. She stated her brand new iPhone 6 had been taken. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle and nothing to process on the scene. Police have no suspect information or leads at the time of the report.

He stated that on 26 May,2017, he checked his First Bank account on line and found a $20.54 transaction at Target in Cordova Tn. He says that he immediately contacted his bank and they canceled the card. He says the transaction is currently pending and has not processed. He says the bank told him the transaction could go either way, approved or denied.
