Please let us know you’re coming.
Even when programs are free, we ask that you call
ahead to say you plan to attend. Sometimes a
presentation is cancelled due to low enrollment or
instructor illness and we will phone to save you a trip
if that happens.
NEW CHECK-IN PROCEDURE:
Please remember to bring your blue Department of
Parks and Recreation swipe pass when you come to
Lee Senior Center and check-in at the front desk. If
you need a new one, we are happy to request one for
you. Please note that this applies to ALL
PARTICIPANTS who attend or participate in any
programs at Lee.

SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE, July 1-Aug 15 The Lee-Madison Advisory Committee is hosting a drive for school supplies for Arlington students who live at Sullivan House. A list of recommended items is available from Adriana or Myrna.
Bring items to the senior office or place them in the
collection bags in room 100.

Colombia, Brazil and Bolivia this versatile ecological
wonder is filled with adventure and beauty. Bill
Moberly shares photos, videos and stories from his
travels in Peru.
THE MIRACULOUS MONARCH

August is when these creatures pass through the
area on their way to Mexico. Learn about the fragile
connection these butterflies have with our
environment from two certified presenters of the
Monarch Teacher Network. Speakers: Teresa Lim
and Cindy Wackerbarth.
HOARDING: A COMMUNITY CONCERN
Monday, Aug. 21, 1-2pm
Hoarding is an issue that can have serious
consequences for health and safety. To address this
problem Arlington County established a task force to
protect the community while respecting an
individual’s privacy rights. Meet some of the folks
who are part of this effort and learn how you can be a
part of the solution. Presenter: Richard Freeman.

Joan Baez, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell are a few of
the inspirations for this event. We may not have a
campfire and cozy ponchos available but the
experience is just as heartwarming

Everyone loves trivia. Showing off your mastery of
fun facts is invigorating. Meet once a month to play
the game that started the craze: Trivial Pursuit.
