F5 Networks is set to put the spotlight on its enhanced security and cloud offerings at this year’s GITEX Technology Week.

According to the security solutions company, highlights of its participation include new F5 software that enables hybrid technologies through dynamic on-premises and off-premises deployments. It will also feature the extension of its hybrid cloud Silverline

services platform to incorporate web-application firewall capabilities.

BIG-IP version 12.0 is a major software release that expands the company’s hybrid platform services, and is targeted at improving the agility, security, and performance of cloud application deployments

F5 supports customers deploying cloud and hybrid IT architectures, with BIG-IP virtual edition solutions becoming available in the Azure Marketplace.

“Organisations are seeking the same confidence level with applications and services in cloud/hybrid deployments that they’ve seen in the data centre,” said Karl Triebes, EVP of Product Development and CTO, F5. “Our BIG-IP software is instrumental in helping customers take advantage of the benefits of the cloud without sacrificing security, flexibility, or savings.”

Infoblox...virtualisation, security and mobility are in full effect in the Middle East and they are creating significant pressure as well as opportunities for some of the largest enterprises in the energy, government, telecom and finance sectors,” he says. “We are in the midst of a wave of IT transformation and modernisation and Infoblox is playing a critical role in helping enterprises manage and secure their IT infrastructure.”

Against a backdrop of increased cyber-threats, Sleiman is confident that instability in certan parts of the Middle East mean the IT security market is set to boom. “Regional organisations will focus on security as the number one area of IT spend, given the fact that not only is the threat landscape constantly changing,

but also the political turmoil in certain countries is adding another dimension of cyber warfare,” he says. “DNS Security is an area that we believe regional organisations will start paying greater attention to as they begin to understand the damaging consequences of inadequate DNS security measures, including lost revenue due to downtime, diminished customer satisfaction and lost productivity.”

Sleiman sees no reason why the company won’t continue to participate in GITEX. “Without a doubt we’ll be back next year,” he says. “We keep increasing the size of our participation every year and we believe next year will be no different.”

Infoblox’s stand is situated at Hall 1, stand number D1-27.

Riverbed will focus on its solutions for Microsoft’s Office 365, SharePoint and Azure platforms at GITEX Technology Week.

For Microsoft SharePoint, Riverbed says they aim to bring solutions that can deliver optimisation and visibility across

users, network, apps and infrastructure in order to better manage user experience and performance. The collaboration between the vendors has meant that features such as the acceleration of links between offices, partners and customers are available out-of-the-box.

“One of the big challenges facing IT teams today is that it costs 15x more to fix bugs found in production systems than it costs to fix bugs found during development and testing. Application visibility and

diagnostics help IT fix bugs sooner and deliver releases on time. Riverbed SteelCentral AppInternals can help you see what parts of the code are running slowly, monitor user experience, and verify whether your cloud servers are performing at capacity,” said Taj ElKhayat, Regional Vice President, Middle East and Africa, Riverbed Technology.

Elkhayat further explains that today’s hybrid enterprises includes infrastructure and applications in traditional on-premise environments in parallel

CommScope is showcasing its connectivity solutions that can support and drive the journey towards Smart Cities and the

Internet of Things (IoT) at the GITEX Technology Week.

“How people work and where they work is evolving and requires advanced building infrastructure. This drives the demand for smarter buildings that can help increase productivity and efficiency,” says Jim Curran, Vice President, Enterprise Sales, Middle East and Africa region, CommScope. “We see GITEX as a forum to address key customer concerns and challenges that companies are facing with the growth of Smart Cities and IoT. The focus is on leveraging emerging technologies to connect

people, information and devices.”The company is also

demonstrating solutions such as iTRACS data centre infrastructure management (DCIM); Redwood building intelligence platform; SYSTIMAX structured cabling solutions; and imVision automated infrastructure management will also be on display. The main attractions at the booth will be the company’s new LazrSPEED 550 WideBand Multimode Fiber, a workhorse media of local area network (LAN) backbones and data centres, and a demonstration of the Category 8 channel. A large model of CommScope’s Data

Centre on Demand pre-fabricated modular data centre will also be at the stand to allow attendees to get an up close view of a modular approach to data centre deployment.

In addition to its latest enterprise solutions, CommScope is also showcasing the ION- E in-building wireless and distributed antenna system to efficiently provide needed capacity in networks. Running on 10G Cat6A and fibre, ION-E is easy to design, install and operate without RF experts.

UAE-based Bulwark Technologies is exhibiting an array of its products during GITEX Technology Week 2015.

The company highlights the

importance of building a strong, integrated security infrastructure in the region, and is presenting its end-to-end security solutions and distribution strategies during the show.

Jose Thomas Menacherry, Managing Director, Bulwark, says, “For GITEX, where we have been showcasing for over a decade now, we employ a particular strategy where we not only showcase optimum technologies catching pace in this region, but also introduce newer technologies that are gaining acceleration for their ease of use across the world. Our approach this year is driven based on a strong demand in

the security distribution market.”In addition, the company

is also offering its latest technologies spanning privilege identity management, data classification, IAM, vulnerability management and two-factor authentication.

Bulwark, as a long time participant at GITEX, is looking forward to an excellent response from partners and customers who would participate in the mega event. “With the region’s huge demand for cybersecurity, we are expecting to receive excellent and evoking responses from our vendors, partners and customers during the event,” adds Menacherry.

Bulwark promotes IT security offerings

VCE will highlight its comprehensive converged solutions portfolio during

its participation at GITEX Technology Week this year.

Through the event VCE aims to showcase how converged infrastructure portfolio can help an IT organisation’s bottom line by making its staff more efficient by reducing time spent on system maintenance and instead focusing on activities that drive competitive advantage. In addition to its presence at Hall 6, VCE has also signed up as the Platinum sponsor of the inaugural GITEX Ignite Conference.

Said Akar, Regional Director, Turkey, Eastern Europe, Africa, and Middle East, VCE, says, “The Middle East is a fast-growing key market because customers here are looking

to transform their IT organisations with converged infrastructure to gain critical efficiencies and IT agility. Attendees will learn how customers such as Dubai Health Authority are benefitting from deploying a VCE Vblock System to drive efficiencies. We are looking forward to connecting with the region’s leading technology associates, customers, partners and prospects.”

This is the first year that the company – founded in 2009 – will be participating in GITEX. “This is an excellent forum for us to showcase our new offerings, and connect with our customers,” says Akar. The Middle East converged infrastructure is expanding, he says, and the

opportunities in the region are growing.

VCE will be participating in two panel discussions at the event, a speaking session at GITEX Ignite as well as hosting a series of interactive sessions at its stand (CLD-11). These panel discussions and sessions will be led by experts such as Nigel Moulton, EMEA CTO at VCE and Thomas Meyer, group Vice President IDC European Research, IDC. These sessions will highlight the benefits of converged infrastructure, showcase VCE’s solutions, demonstrate how its technology can simplify the datacentre and help build a foundation for hybrid cloud.
