UNI-100® XTTHIXOTROPIC, THF-FREE RIGID PVC CEMENT

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONThixotropic, THF-free rigid PVC cement.

FIELD OF APPLICATIONFor joining pipes, sockets and fittings with interference fit andloose fit (gap filling) in pressure and drainage systems. Suitablefor diameters ≤ 400 mm. Max. 16 bar (PN 16). Maximaltolerances 0.6 mm diametrical clearance / 0.2 mm press fit.Suitable for e.g. pipe systems conforming to EN 1329, 1452,1453, 1455 and ISO 15493 (PVC).

EN 14814: Meets requirements Europeanstandard 14814: Adhesive for thermoplasticpiping systems for fluids under pressure.

PREPARATIONWorking Conditions:  Do not use in temperatures ≤ +5°C.

APPLICATIONCoverage: Indication of the number of joints per 1 L:

Directions for use: 1. Cut pipes square, chamfer edges and deburr. 2. Cleansurfaces with Griffon Cleaner and Cleaner Cloth. 3. Applyadhesive rapidly and evenly lengthways on both surfaces (pipethickly, socket thinly). 4. Assemble joint immediately. Removeexcess adhesive. Do not load the joint mechanically for the first10 minutes. Close packaging immediately after use.Stains/residue:  Remove adhesive stains with Griffon Cleaner andCleaner Cloth.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Chemical base: Solution of PVC in a mixture ofsolvents

Chemicals resistance: The chemical resistance ofadhesive joints depends onthe gap width, drying time,pressure, temperature, type andconcentration of medium. Theadhesive joint generally has thesame chemical resistance asthe material itself. Exceptions tothis are a small number of veryaggressive chemicals such asconcentrated inorganic acids,caustic solutions and strongoxidants.

Viscosity: Thixotropic

Viscosity approx.: 1450 mPa·s

* Curing time may vary depending on a.o. surface, productquantity used, humidity level and ambient temperature.

STORAGE CONDITIONSAt least 12 months in the unopened package and storedbetween +5°C and +25°C. Close the container properly andstore in a dry, cool and frost-free location.Limited shelf life after opening.
