Hey 6th Class, So I haven’t put any specific times into this timetable as I feel you’re all mature enough to work that out for yourselves and space out each subject throughout the day. I based it roughly on our usual school day timetable. I hope the work explanations are clear enough and that you can complete the work as best you can on your own. Don’t forget to take breaks in between and try to work somewhere quiet with minimum distractions. I hope you are being safe and keeping appropriate social distances, keep washing you hands and I’ll hopefully see you all soon. Miss Gray J

Fitness BINGO Try and get four in a row each day, you can spread each workout over the day J PE

• The Body Coach (Joe Wicks) is doing a daily PE lesson everyday live at 9am on his YouTube channel – this is a good way to get you active first thing in the morning and get the brain energized. If you can’t watch at 9am, it is uploaded later online so you can do it later. Use your back garden for some outdoor exercise – football, trampoline, skipping, running etc

SPHE • I know schoolwork is really important but we also need to look after ourselves, and our mental health.

Remember to take regular breaks, get plenty of fresh air, drink lots of water and complete activities that are enjoyable/give you a break (reading, playing board games, allocated screen time, listen to music etc) It would also be a good idea to help your parents with some household chores - keeping your work area tidy/emptying the dishwasher or even helping a younger sibling with their schoolwork or a game.

In case you get all of the above work done, here are some other bits you can work on (maybe during Easter holidays) Gaeilge:

Ø Scríobh an gearrscéal simplí as Gaeilge ag úsáid na briathra san Aimsir Chaite atá fhios agat (Write a short simple narrative ‘as Gaeilge’ using the Aimsir Chaite verbs that you know).

Ø Watch some cartoons on TG4 or listen to songs as Gaeilge on the Coláiste Lurgan YouTube channel. English:

Ø Write a letter to yourself in the future (around the year 2050), describing what your life is like now and what you hope it will be like in the future. Make it interesting!!!

Ø Interview a family member (either someone in your house or call a relative on the phone/Skype). Ask interesting questions – Exercise Your English pg. 54 have some question ideas

Ø Keep learning lines for play SESE:

Ø Complete a mini project on the 1916 rising or another SESE topic that we have covered this year and by mini I mean a couple of A4 pages, not a huge masterpiece unless you really want to.

Ø Start research on a topic or question you’ve always wondered about, a bit like ‘Genius Hour’. You can use the ‘I Wonder’ worksheet to brainstorm some ideas
