HERKIMER, NY - Jason Rathbun was selected as the new men's and women's bowling coach for the upcoming 2015-16 season. While the position maybe new, the name is not, as "Coach Razz" has led the Herkimer College baseball team over the past 11 years. During his time as baseball coach he has led the program to five World Series appearances, eight conference titles, 16 different coach of the year awards and 352 wins during his time as skipper on the diamond.

Rathbun is no stranger to the sport of bowling either. His father was the bowling coach at Herkimer College for a few years and his former teammate and friend P.J. Anadio, who Rathbun is replacing, have been working together since Anadio began coaching the bowling program in 2011.

"I am excited to get this program rolling!" stated Rathbun. "I believe that with my experience in sports psychology and understanding of the game of bowling, I will be able to bring a lot of information to help each player get better. I will work hard to recruit strong bowlers to help the program reach a new heights of success."

In addition to his coaching duties, Rathbun is employed in the housing department at Herkimer and teaches Psychology during the fall. He lives in Herkimer, NY with his wife Melissa and his son A.J.
