    PERALTA MAKES REHAB START TONIGHT: Brewers RHP Wily Per-alta makes his second rehab start in the minors tonight for Biloxi. Peraltawas placed on the 15-day DL on 5/25 with a strained left oblique. Thisseason with the Brewers, the 26-year-old was 1-5 with a 4.00 ERA in 9starts. In 2014, went 17-11 with a 3.53 ERA in 32 starts. The Brewers went19-13 in his starts and led the team in wins (17), innings (198.2), strikeouts(154) and quality starts (22) His 17 wins tied for 5th in the National League

    SHUCKERS DROP HOMESTAND OPENER, 6-5: The Shuckers openedup their 7-game homestand with a 6-5, extra-inning loss to the Lookoutson Wednesday. It was the rst time in its last 8 tries Biloxi fell in an extra-inning contest, and rst at MGM Park (1-4).• The Shuckers slugged out a season-high 3 home runs in the 1-run loss.Josh Fellhauer  (2) got Biloxi on the board with a 2-run shot to left in therst, Nick Ramirez (13) went opposite ed 2 batters later for a 3-0 lead, andOrlando Arcia (5) went off the netting in left to tie the game at 4 in the 7th.•The Shuckers outhit the Lookouts, 15-8 Wednesday, but stranded 8 on baseand went 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position. Biloxi suffered its rst losswhen collecting 13 or more hits, and fell to 41-9 when outhitting the opponent.• Biloxi had 6 players record multi-hit performances on Wednesday, including a2-for-4 night from Michael Reed, tying a team-high with 2 doubles in a game.

    BACK FROM THE FUTURE: Biloxi SS Orlando Arcia returned Wednesdayfrom Sunday’s Futures Game and went 2-for-5 with a home run in his rstgame back in a Shuckers’ uniform. The 20-year-old is in the midst of a 3-gamehitting streak, going 7-for-14 with a HR, 4 RBI, 2 R, 2 2B and 2 SB in that span.

    MORE ARCIA: Last night Orlando Arcia recorded his 32nd multi-hit gameof the season. Arcia has hit in 9 of 11 games in July, batting .356 (16x45), 6R, 3 3B, 2 2B, HR, 8 RBI and 2 SB, collecting a .383/.578/.961 slash line.

    MGM PARK MAGIC: The Shuckers opened their Inaugural Season on theinfamous 54-game road trip, chronicled by ESPN (went 33-21). The Shuckersare 8-5 at the new home with 4 of those wins coming in extra-inning walk-offs.• Over the rst 13 games at MGM Park, 51,466 fans attended, an averageof 3,959 per game despite the stadium being unnished.

    WHO ARE THE SHUCKERS?: Formerly the Huntsville Stars, the new Biloxi professional baseball team re -vealed the new identity on November 24, 2014, as the Biloxi Shuckers took center stage during a ceremonyinside Biloxi’s historic Saenger Theatre. The team name was selected after nearly 60,000 votes were castafter the month-long “Name the Team” contest yielded six finalists. A tenacious oyster is the centerpiece ofthe identity, seen both in the club’s primary logo, home and alternate caps. The letters “BS” to make up theroad cap designation - the Biloxi Lighthouse logo, resiliently rising above historic storm waters. Gulf Blue,Sand, Coral, and Black make up the club’s new official colors, paying tribute to the Gulf Coast. The Shuckersare the first professional sports team to use this color combination.ABOUT BILOXI: Founded in the late 17th century by French explorers, Biloxi has a population of 44,578and is the home of Keesler Air Force Base...     ABOUT MGM PARK: MGM Park opened its gates for the rst time on June 6, 2015 as Tyler Wagner (below) threw the rstpitch to Mobile’s Jack Reinheimer at 7:07 p,m. CT. The long wait ended and the 54-game road trip came to a close. MGMPark opened with a 5-4 win over the Mobile BayBears in 14 innings. The game lasted 4 hours, 26 minutes in front of a sold outcrowd of 5,065. Nick Shaw drove in pinch-runner Brent Suter from second to earn the walk-off win and christen the new home.• MGM Park is located off of Highway 90 and Interstate 110, adjacent to Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, MGM Park is withinwalking distance of downtown Biloxi and beaches of the Gulf Coast. The stadium, being built by the city of Biloxi, brokeground on January 24, 2014 and is being constructed by Architect Dale Partners P.A. of Biloxi and Yates Construction.     BILOXI BASEBALL HISTORY: Pro baseball is not totally new to the Gulf Coast, but it is the rst since 1908. TheGulfport-Biloxi Sand Crabs of the Cotton States League played half a season in Biloxi during the summer of 1908.Many Major League and som Minor League teams held spring traing in the area. Even the 1920 Milwaukee Brewersof the American Association (direct descendant of the current Brewers) trained in Gulfport. See below.

    oday’s Start:  RHP Wily Peralta makes his second rehab start - rst with the Biloxi Shuckers - onhursday night against the Chattanooga Lookouts. The 25-year-old strained his right oblique in a Milwau-ee Brewers’ 11-0 win on May 22 against the Atlanta Braves.

    ast Outing: Peralta made his rst rehab start with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on July 11 againsthe Beloit Snappers. The righty allowed a run on two hits in 2.2 innings with four strikeouts.

    s. Chattanooga: This will be Peralta’s fth career start against the Lookouts, and rst since 2011hen they were the Double-A afliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. In four games, the Domincan nativeas allowed 16 runs - nine earned - in 23.1 innings with eight walks and 26 strikeouts.
