Bearing measurement
Temperature measurement
Stethoscope function
• On the spot bearing evaluation • Small, light weight, robust • Built-in sensors, spm and temperature • Easy to use, minimum training needed• Cost effective
A well-managed maintenance effort results in improved reliability - that
gives you a competitive edge!
Modern industrial maintenance requires informed decisions on
measures to optimize equipment and component performance. Timely
failure prediction and detection is key to cutting operating costs.
Machine breakdowns are frequently caused by bearing damage.
Unplanned downtime, as well as unnecessary repair work, can be
significantly reduced by periodically checking bearing condition.
Condition monitoring saves money - simply put, simply done
Bearing Checker – your affordable expert
Shock pulse measurement on ball and roller bearings
Surface temperature measurement
Use the stethoscope function to listen to machine sounds
The True SPM® MethodSPM’s shock pulse method is the only successful monitoring technique
specializing in rolling element bearings. It presents accurate information
on the mechanical state of the bearing surfaces and of the lubrication
condition, throughout the bearing´s lifetime.
Installation faults and poor lubrication, the root cause of many bearing
failures, are easily detected.
Shock pulse monitoring with the True SPM® Method gives early warning
of bearing deterioration, the most common cause of machine failures.
Bearing condition at your fingertips Small and lightweight, Bearing Checker is a unique instrument designed
for swift, on-site condition monitoring of all kinds of ball and roller
bearings.
By means of evaluated measurement results, maintenance technicians
and mechanics can assess bearing condition and identify sources of
potential machine problems without specialized training.

Bearing Checker is a handheld, pocket-size, user
friendly instrument. It is economical, reliable
and straightforward and makes a proactive
approach to maintenance economically feasible
for everyone. Provide your maintenance
personnel with an easy-to-use, cost effective
instrument for bearing monitoring!
Make maintenance a profitable part of your production
Functionality• Bearing condition measurement
Following a quick measurement set up, an eval-
uated result in green, yellow or red is presented,
on the spot. An evaluation code for the result
simplifies troubleshooting using the evaluation
guide. Up to ten measurements can be stored
in the instrument. For bearing measurement,
the built-in probe or any of the external probes
available for the Bearing Checker can be used.
Users can also listen to the shock pulse signal in
order to verify the pattern of the pulses. Listen-
ing to the shock pulses and distinguishing the
pattern gives a very good idea of what the fault
might be according to the evaluation guide. A
Transducer Line Test, TLT, is automatically made
in connection with bearing measurement to as-
sure that the transducer, connector and cable
are in operating condition.
• Surface temperature measurement with IR
sensor.
• Stethoscope function enabling you to listen
to machine sounds.
In an industrial environment, dirt, humidity, splashes and
sometimes harsh temperatures are unavoidable. With its
robust and ergonomic design, Bearing Checker endures the
environmental challenges of daily maintenance work. It also
withstands the impacts of rough usage.
