Dear Friends, The French Swimming Federation has the great pleasure to welcome you at the 8th French Open to be held from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th March 2018 in Paris (FRA).
We are proud to be part this year again of the AS World Series launched by FINA to develop the visibility and popularity of our sport around the world.
GENERAL INFORMATION

COMPETITION INFORMATION
POOL SIZE: 30m x 20m – Depth: 5,90m to 1,80m (see pool map attached)
RULES: > The competition will be opened to all FINA nations and be governed under the FINA rules. It is also open to clubs with the agreement of the concerned federation.
> Event will include technical and free routines for solos, duets, mixed duets and teams; highlights and free combinations.
> 100% for each event (separate entry, integral draw, separate ranking).
> A maximum of 3 entries will be allowed per nation per event (except for national selections).
> In case more than one entry per nation swim the routine, only one team per nation will be awarded on the podium and will receive a medal.
> Any entered routine may be swum. On site withdrawals will result in a fine of 80 € (except for medical reasons approved by the competition official doctor).

ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORT Following rates are for all-inclusive packages including accommodation full board.

The LOC set up a strategy bringing together comfort, negotiated prices and easy access to the competition venue. You now have the choice between these 2 possibilities:
- The CAMPANILE Porte de Bagnolet (3*** hotel) - The NOVOTEL Paris Est (4**** hotel)
The Campanile and the Novotel are located next to each other, 2km away from the venue. Full board packages prices are, per person and per night:

Novotel - 150 € 205 €
Please be so kind to book your accommodation to the LOC in the best delays and before Wednesday, January 31st 2018. Rooms will be allocated on a “first come first served” basis.
Transport
The Organizing Committee organizes transportation from Airports to Hotels and shuttles from Hotels to Pool, but also a touristic pack that will allow you to discover Paris during your stay.
Official Airports are Paris Charles-de-Gaulle and Paris Orly.
The OC is taking in charge 2 groups per delegation at the arrival and 1 group at the departure. Extra groups will be charged to the Federations.

ACCREDITATIONS
The Organizing Committee will produce accreditations with names and pictures.
Please be so kind to send us pictures of your swimmers and staff in the best delays and no later than Wednesday, January 31st 2018.
TRAINING SESSIONS
Renewing last year schedule, there will be 3 training days. Some of you may use this extra time to visit Paris but some will keep on training at the pool.
In order to organize in the smoothest way the training sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, please be so kind to complete and send to the LOC your “training schedule” before Monday, February 5th 2018 (see Final Entries form).
EXHIBITION GALA
On Sunday afternoon, at the end of the event, we organize an Exhibition Gala. As FINA and LEN are currently instituting it, we expect all delegations to participate to this final Show. Solo, duo, trio, ballet, accessories, improvisations, everything is allowed to make this Exhibition Gala an amazing closing of this French week of competition.
Teams also have the possibility to swim their highlight routine during the Gala.
Please be so kind to inform the LOC whether you intend to participate to this show and what you are planning to swim before Monday, February 5th 2018 (see Final Entries form).
We hope to see many of you attending this Gala!
WEDNESDAY TOURISTIC TOUR
The Organizing Committee planed a touristic tour to one of Paris iconic places on Wednesday, March 7th 2018. This social activity is open only to officials within the limit of 35 persons. The departure from the pool is scheduled at 12.45.
Please be so kind to inform the LOC whether you intend to participate to this tour and how many people are concerned in the best delays. (see Final Entries form)
FAREWELL DINNER
The LOC is organizing a Farewell Dinner to celebrate the end of the competition. The dinner will be held at the venue. It will include a cocktail, a “real”-seated dinner and a dancing area for the end of the evening. We are looking forward to sharing this friendly moment all together.
