8/12/2013 Standards: Std 6COPY EVERYTHING YOU SEE HERE Objectives: Learn class rules (USE GOOD JUDGEMENT) and what whiteboard means. Reminder 101 Become familiar with class website using laptops Be able to calculate density using GRIDS (aka series of fractions) (this is a maybe)DO NOW: a. Write name on 1 x 1 seating chart card b. Copy this entire whiteboard configuration - Daily In-Class Assignment c. First Day Computer Assignment - CW (1/2 sheet handout) - (3 pts)Homework: 1. P. 29 (On-Line Textbook) Read Ch 2.1 p. 25-29, then do PP's 1-3. Copy questions and show your calculations using fractions or grids. (3 pts) 2. Print Density Problem - Calculation with Grids - Assignment 1, for tomorrow's lesson. Do not work the problems on this sheet tonight. (1 pts) 3. Purchase a 3-ring, 2" or larger, binder for this class for tomorrow. It must have 15 dividers. The first notebook grading will be Friday next week. (1 pts) (see mebefore the end of class if this is a financial hardship or you have some other issue) 4. First quiz tomorrow, based on what you learned in class and your homework.

Reminder 101 - follow these directions:1. Get out your cell phone and go to your Text App2. Enter this text phone #469 713 12653. Text this message:@mrwigge1Read: At the store tonightYou will need to get a 3-ring binder, preferably a D-ring-style. It should be 2-3. You will also need a calculator. The calculator needs to be capable of doing squares & sqare roots. Most office supply stores sell them for about $10, or you can purchase from me for $10.

Make a 2nd copy of this handout, and cut off the bottom section below and paste it on the inside of the front cover of your notebook for reference throughout the year. YesNoQuestion: Is there any reason why you cannot complete this part of tonight's assignment? If so, see me before end of class. To get Chemistry - First days assignment Fall 2013 go to:
