• Transporters are aluminum, TCE = 24 µin/in/°C. • MCP glass has TCE = 5.5 µin/in/°C. • lBase = 8.014in, lMCP = 8.003in Δl = .011in • Requires a temperature change of -‐74°C for the MCP to get Ight in the transporter base. (i.e., T ≈ -‐50°C)
• Googling “fedex cargo hold temperature” turns up a paper that measured this. Max temp swings were closer to 15°C. (h_p://Inyurl.com/cyzt7lp)
• Nope.
