Debi and Mike Kramer have traveled to the Los Angeles area. Debi’s brain surgery will be Tuesday, August 29. We continue to pray for successful surgery, healing, and safety in their travels.
Marie Mulder is feeling pretty good as she continues to be treated for the fungus in her hip. She hopes that tests done on September 5 will show the fungus is gone and she can begin the next part of her healing.

--NISO AUDITIONS - Auditions for membership in the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra will be held on Friday, September 8 and Saturday, September 9. Anyone wishing to play in the orchestra for the first time must audition, and all student members need to re-audition each year. --2017 MINN-IA-KOTA RETREAT – Kendra Smiley has graciously accepted our invitation to share her life lessons on making the next right choice. She will be our featured speaker at the retreat on September 12 at the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The day will conclude with a wonderful banquet and a great concert by the Valley Male Chorus. Since 1979, they have presented over 600 concerts to serve children and adults with special needs through Hope Haven.
--TALSMA’S TRAIL PARK IS HOSTING AN ATV AND HORSE RIDE BENEFIT on Saturday, September 16 to raise money for Hope Haven in Rock Valley. The park is located near Avon, SD and has 75 miles of primitive trails by the MO River. The event begins at 9AM and costs $35 to participate for a horse or ATV and $45 for a Side by Side. --CORNERSTONE PRISON CHURCH FAITH FELLOWSHIP WEEKEND - Friday, Sept. 22, 6:00-8:00pm and Sept. 23 & 24, 7:15am-4:00pm each day. The theme for the weekend is “Formula for Successful Living.” Join us for worship, large group talks and small group discussions. The deadline for signing up is Thursday, Sept 7.
