25th Anniversary SeasonThen.....and Now…what a journey it has been! It’s hard to believe Broadway Palm will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary Season this year. What started out as a dream of the Prather family in 1993 to renovate a former Publix supermarket into a first class dinner theatre has come to fruition and the theatre is a resounding success. I want to personally thank each and every one of the thousands of season subscribers and group leaders, many who have been with us from the very beginning, for their support of Broadway Palm and being a part of this incredible journey.

In honor of our 25th Anniversary Season, we’ve put together what I feel is the biggest and best season ever! For the very first time at Broadway Palm, our customers will be able to see three monumental, Tony award-winning, Broadway Musicals: Pippin, Chicago and Mama Mia! In addition, we will be bringing back two classics in My Fair Lady and Annie. Also included in the season are two great musical reviews in Groovin: the 60s and 70s Musical and the music of the legendary Johnny Cash featured in Ring of Fire. During the holidays we’re excited to be presenting the new musical A Christmas Story, based on the wildly-popular movie. In addition to these eight incredible main stage shows, we will be presenting five productions in the intimate Off Broadway Palm Theatre and five tribute shows as part of our Annual Concert Series.

We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for you, our valuable customers, and the Broadway Palm family sincerely appreciates your support. OCT. 12 - NOV. 18, 2017

Winner of four 2013 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, PIPPIN, is a magical, unforgettable tale about a young prince’s journey to be extraordinary! The new circus-inspired production features an acrobatic troupe of performers, led by the charismatic Leading Player. Throughout his journey, the prince is continuously encouraged by the flashy performers to try his hand at war, love, and other pleasures. In the end, he struggles with settling down and pursuing a peaceful life or continuing to make magic with the dazzling troupe of entertainers.

NOV. 23 - DEC. 25, 2017

Based on the wildly-popular holiday movie, A Christmas Story takes place in 1940’s Indiana, where a bespectacled boy named Ralphie wants only one thing for Christmas: an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle! The infamous leg lamp, outrageous pink bunny pajamas, an irritable department store Santa, and a triple dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the obstacles that stand between Ralphie and his Christmas wish. The iconic scenes from the movie, delightful songs and splashy production numbers make this the perfect holiday treat for the whole family!

Dec. 30, 2017 - Feb. 10, 2018

The longest running American musical in Broadway history comes to Broadway Palm! Set in 1920s Chicago and based on true murders and trials, Chicago follows Roxie Hart, an aspiring vaudevillian who murders her lover and is arrested. In jail, Roxie meets her hero, the double-murderess and nightclub entertainer Velma Kelly. When both vixens obtain the same lawyer, tensions run high as they fight for the spotlight. This tale of fame and fortune includes incredible dancing and one show-stopping song after another.


FEB. 15 - APR. 7, 2018

Through ABBA’s greatest hits, Mamma Mia tells the comical story of Sophie, a bride-to-be’s search for her birth father on a beautiful Greek island. After reading her mom’s diary, Sophie secretly invites the three men her mom wrote about to her wedding. This enchanting and unforgettable tale of love, laughter, family and friendship is set to ABBA classics including Dancing Queen, Take a Chance on Me, SOS and the title song Mamma Mia!

My Fair Lady tells the unlikely love story between a professor, Henry Higgins, and a cockney flower seller, Eliza Doolittle. Professor Higgins wagers a bet that he can transform Eliza into a high society lady. As Eliza becomes more refined, and less reliant upon him, Professor Higgins realizes that he can’t live without her. The unforgettable score includes I Could Have Danced All Night, The Rain in Spain, I’m Getting Married in the Morning, On the Street Where You Live and Wouldn’t it be Loverly.

MAY 24 - JUN. 23, 2018

Even after his passing, Johnny Cash is still one of the most popular entertainers of all-time. Ring of Fire tells his remarkable life story of passion, redemption, humor and salvation. Performed by a multi-talented cast, this production paints a musical portrait of The Man in Black that promises to be a foot-stompin’, crowd-pleasin’ salute to this remarkable legend! Featuring over 30 Johnny Cash hits including I Walk the Line, I’ve Been Everywhere, A Boy Named Sue and the title track Ring of Fire.

JUN. 28 - AUG. 11, 2018

The classic musical about everyone’s favorite orphan and her dog Sandy will capture the hearts of audience members of all ages. As part of a publicity campaign for Oliver Warbucks, Annie and her dog Sandy are placed in the lap of luxury for a week. However, Annie’s stay turns out to be much more than anyone had bargained for as she works her way into everyone’s hearts! The only thing standing in her way is the cruel and bitter Miss Hannigan. The popular score includes It’s the Hard Knock Life, Easy Street and Tomorrow.


SEPT. 21 - OCT. 29, 2017

The men are out and the ladies are in! Neil Simon’s hilarious twist has taken the classic hit The Odd Couple and replaced the two male leads with females. The hilarity and story line remains the same as a neurotic, neat freak moves into the home of an uncouth and messy friend after a marital split. Within days, their differing ways of life start taking their toll and the two are forced to agree that even the best of friends can make the worst of roommates.

Back by popular demand after a sold-out run last season is the fabulous The Savannah Sipping Society! Four Southern women, strangers to one another, are drawn together by fate and turn weekly happy hours into a mission to renew the enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years. Their raucous humor and collective strengths see them through unexpected challenges and to their surprise; they realize it’s never too late to make lifelong friends.

NOV. 16 - DEC. 25, 2017

It’s the holiday season in Tuna, Texas, the third-smallest town in the Lone Star State, and just two actors bring over twenty zany characters to life in this hilarious and heartwarming play. The annual Christmas Yard Display Contest sets the lunacy in motion and a mysterious phantom known for vandalizing the displays threatens to ruin the contest. All of this while one resident is trying to produce A Christmas Carol despite numerous obstacles and headaches!

JAN. 11 - FEB. 24, 2018

From the writers of The Dixie Swim Club and The Savannah Sipping Society comes this all-new, rollicking Southern comedy. The Hallelujah Girls will have you laughing all the way to SPA-DEE-DAH!, the abandoned church-turned-day-spa where a group of friends gather every Friday. The women rally together to overcome the many hurdles life throws at them, which give you a side-splitting, joyful comedy that will make you laugh out loud and shout “Hallelujah!

MAR. 1 - APR. 29, 2018

The sixth helping from the Church Basement Ladies series is here! Rise Up, O Men is a brand new musical comedy featuring a few men of the church and your favorite church basement ladies who serve them. As these hard-working farmers discuss their scrap lumber piles and the benefits of weld vs solder, they unintentionally disrupt the order of the kitchen. That’s what happens when you let the rooster in the hen house!
