Whether heroes or heroines are facing a conflict with something in there lives, Dramas aim to tell an honest story of human struggles.

There are several different types of dramas for different kinds of target audiences for example there is Romantic Drama’s. This is a drama that explores the complex side of love. The plot usually centres on an obstacle that is preventing love between two people. The obstacles in Romantic Drama’s can range from a family's disapproval to forbidden love. Many Romantic Dramas end with the lovers separating because of the huge obstacles they need to face, the realization they are not meant to be, or simply fate. A Romantic Drama’s target audience is primarily Women from 20-30 years old.

Another example is of a Drama is a Tragedy Drama; a Tragedy Drama is a genre where the downfall of the character is caused by a flaw within the character. While Tragedy Dramas sometime put the character in unbelievable circumstances, this genre is really about the self-destructive behaviour of the character. The flaws of the character out and normally end up with the character dying or hurt. A Tragedy Drama is suited for a male and female audience and it can be targeted at a large age range of people. The mood bored above has several TV series, movies and shots that will inspire my drama production. Most of the movies and TV shows I have added in the mood bored involves sci-fi, action and physiological plotlines. My drama is based from an episode of ‘Black Mirror’; someone wakes up and cannot remember anything about there life. Everyone they encounter refuses to communicate with them and enjoys filming their discomfort on their phones. Someone eventually talks to them and explains that a new and very popular phone network brainwashed at least half the population in two sorts of ways, either they feel

that they need to film people to survive or they feel they need to kill people to survive. They set out to destroy the network but when they get there we find out that the person with no memory of themselves killed their younger sister and filmed it and put it on the internet. The people trying to kill her and film her are actors and volunteers to create a daily event that people buy tickets to see. It’s a futuristic punishment for criminals; wiping their brain and making them go through the fear that there victims would have gone through.

My target audience would be 16-40 year olds. I came to this conclusion because my drama involves new technology throughout the story, a large percentage of the elderly would not care or get confused about new technology so they might not be able to follow the plotline and kids under the age of 16 might also get confused by the plotline or even get scared by it. Another reason my drama would not be suited for under 16 year olds would be because it might include a lot of swearing. From when you are a young adult most people in the world would swear if they are scared or in pain so to make the acting more believable there will be occasional swear words within the script.

When my audience watch my drama I want them to feel fear towards the main character, I want the audience to want the character to survive and succeed in destroying the phone network but at the end I want them to feel betrayed, knowing that the character they rooted for was the bad guy all along.
