hand.
B. Proper Lesson
1. Activity
I will group you into two. Here is the
group one and here is the group two. I have
here two manila paper.
Here is the instructions: Using fishbone
diagram paste the different causes and the
possible effect of the problem. But make sure
that the causes was based on its meaning. I’ll
give you two minutes to do that. And after that,
choose one representative to discuss your
answer.
Is that clear?
2 . Analysis

start of learning.
Here are some examples of stick drawings:
Ma’am our topic for today is all about
“teaching with visual symbol”
Ma’am visual symbol you must learn how to
draw, sketch, make diagrams, graphs and
charts.
Ma’am it is the symbol for restaurant, gasoline
station, CR for male and female and etc.
Yes, Ma’am
Ma’am the different types of visual symbols
are drawings, cartoons, strip drawings,
diagrams, charts, graphs, and maps.
Ma’am a drawing may not be the real thing but
better to have concrete visual aid than nothing.
To avoid confusion, it is good that our
drawing correctly represents the real thing.
The second one is the cartoons.
Can you read?
Ok, class what is metaphorically?
Ok, Very good!
According to Merriam Webster metaphorically

And we have three types of diagram, what are
those? Mr./Ms.____ can you read the first one?
So first, what is affinity diagram?
Can you read?
Here is the example of affinity diagram:
And how about the second one?
Can you read?
Yes, Ma’am
These are commonly called comics or comic
strip. Dale (1969) asserts that a more accurate
term is strip drawings.
Ma’am diagram, it is “any line drawing that
shows arrangement and relations as of parts to
the whole, relative, values, origins, and
development, chronological fluctuations,
distribution, etc.”
The first type of diagram is affinity diagram, it
is use to cluster complex apparently unrelated
data into natural and meaningful groups.
This is the example of tree diagram:
And last one is the fishbone diagram. What it
is all about?
Can you read?
Here is the example of fishbone diagram:
In this part you may write the possible effect of
the problem. In the upper and lower part you
may write the causes of problem.
Did you get it?
And now let us go back to the fifth kind of
visual symbol.
Can you read?
And we have seven types of charts. What are
those?
Can you read?
Ok, Very Good! First what is time chart?
Can you read?
Example:
The second type of diagram is tree diagram,
used to chart out, in increasing detail, the
various tasks must be accomplished to
complete a project or achieve a specific
objectives.
Fishbone diagram- it is also called cause and
effect diagram.
Yes, Ma’am
A chart is a diagrammatic representation of
relationships among individual within an
organization.
Ma’am the seven types of charts are time chart,
tree or stream chart, flow chart, organizational
chart, comparison and contrast chart, Pareto
chart and Gannt chart.
Time chart- is a tabular time chart that presents
data in original sequence.
And how about the second one?
Can you read?
This is the example of tree or stream chart:
And the third one is flow chart.
Can you read?
Example:
The fourth one is the organizational chart.
Can you read?
Example:
The second one is tree or stream chart depicts
development, growth and change by beginning
with a single course which out into many
branches.
Flow chart- is a visual way of charting or
showing a process from beginning to end.
Organizational chart- shows how one part of
the organization relates to other parts of the
organization.
The fifth one is the comparison and contrast
chart.
Can you read?
Example:
And let’s have the sixth one.
What is Pareto chart?
Can you read?
Here is the example of Pareto chart:
And the last one is Gannt chart.
Please read.
This is the example of gannt chart:
And again, let’s go back to the sixth type of
visual symbol.
Can you read
And there are several types of graphs.
What are those?
Can you read the first one?
Used to show similarities and differences
between two things.
Is a type of bar, chart, priotized in descending
order of magnitude or importance from left to
right.
Gannt chart- is an activity time chart.
The sixth type of visual symbol is graphs.
Ma’am they are: circle or pie graph, bar graph,
pictorial graph, and graphic organizer.
The first type of graph is pie or circle graph, it
Here is the example of Pie or circle graph:
The second one.
Please read.
Example of bar graph:
And let’s have the third one.
Please read.
Example:
And the last one is graphic organizer. And here
is the example:
And we have the last type of visual symbol.
The maps. Please read.
Example:
is recommended for showing parts of whole.
Bar graph- used in comparing the magnitude of
similar items at different ties or seeing relative
sizes of the parts of a whole.
Pictorial graph- makes use of picture symbols.
A maps is a “ representation of the surface of
the earth or the some part of it.
And there are four kinds of maps. They are:
Physical map, relief map, commercial or
economic map, and economic map.
Everybody please read.
3. Abstraction
Is there any questions about our topic?
Ok, if none close all your notes. And I have
here three pieces of colored paper with
question.
Mr./Ms.____ give me a number.
Ok, count 1-10
Pick color yellow inside the box, and read your
question.
Question:
How does visual symbol teaching?
Another one Mr./Ms.____ give me a number.
Ok, count 1-26
Pick color green, and read your question.
Question:
Enumerate the different types of visual
symbols.
Ok, last one, Mr./Ms.____ give me a number.
Count 1-21
Physical map- combines in a single projection
data like altitude, temperature, rainfall,
precipitation, vegetation, and soil.
Relief map- has three dimensional
representations and show contours of the
physical data of the earth or part of the earth.
Commercial or economic map- also called
product or industrial map since they show land
areas in relation to the economy.

graph and pictorial graph.
4. Application
Another for our last activity Mr./Ms.___ Give
me a number.
Count 1-16
Right or left?
Ok, his your question:
Question:
Pictures, slides, handouts, video, mock ups,
models computer projections and computer
presentation are visuals but are they visual
symbols?
( the student will follow )
Ma’am the difference between the two are pie
or circle graph is recommended for showing
parts of whole, while pictorial graph makes
uses of picture symbols.
Ma’am 16
( the students will follow )
Ma’am right
Ma’am yes, they are visual symbol because
according to its meaning we don’t see real
things but symbols, so pictures, slides
