ANNOTATING AND QUESTIONING THE TEXT

Annotating is a way of making sure you understand the most important parts of a text.

The word annotation comes from the Latin root not/nota, which means “to mark or sign.”

You will be marking the textAnnotating text also helps you with your own

writing. By understanding what McBride does to make his essay strong and powerful, you will be able to make your own writing more powerful.
