A great thing about business, ICT and finance courses is that you can work almost anywhere. There are opportunities in every employment sector, including local government, the financial sector to name a few. This is an excellent starting point to move into management once you have more experience.

The difference between an Apprenticeship and college or sixth form is that you will have been earning a wage, gaining invaluable qualifications and employability skills along the way to your dream promotion.

THE LEARNER JOURNEYThe Government has raised the age that young people can leave education to 18, but what does that mean for you? Well, what it definitely doesn’t mean is that you have to stay in sixth form or college, you can opt out of the classroom and into further training, by choosing a Study Programme or Apprenticeship.

Flexibility is a key ingredient within our programmes and you will be given advice and guidance to help you make your choices. However, below is a possible Business or Finance learner’s journey with Training 2000.

APPRENTICESHIPSWe offer a range of exciting Business, Customer Service, Accounting and ICT Apprenticeships, with different entry levels. You will earn a wage and work as a company employee whilst gaining your qualification.

HIGHER APPRENTICESHIPSThe Apprenticeships progress up to Higher Level Apprenticeships, known as a Level 4 qualification. There are no limits to how long you can continue your further education. On completion of our Higher Level Apprenticeships you can go on to study a Level 5 qualification, such as a university Degree and beyond to a Post Graduate or Masters qualification.

TRAINEESHIPOur Business Administration Traineeship is for learners who are not yet ready to start an Apprenticeship or are unsure about which career path to take. The Traineeship is a bite-sized programme which increases your knowledge on different areas of business. This includes CV writing skills, interview techniques, Maths, English, IT and employability skills, making it the perfect stepping stone to one of our Apprenticeships.

You will also be given the opportunity to complete a structured work experience placement within a business and receive a guaranteed reference and an interview for an Apprenticeship upon completion. Currently 94% of our traineeship learners progressed onto an Apprenticeship or employment.

Before starting the course I didn’t really have an idea of what I wanted to do in terms of my future, so I chose a Traineeship. The Traineeship taught me key skills and helped me to realise the potential I had within the business area.Thanks to the Traineeship I found myself the perfect start to my new career as a Business Administrator, I am now very happy with my job and looking forward to the future.

Two teams of accountancy apprentices studying with Training 2000 secured silver and bronze medals at the National finals of the WorldSkills UK competition.

The ‘Lancashire Hotpots’ and the ‘Blackpool Rocks’ joined 800 of the country’s most talented learners at Birmingham NEC and competed in front of 100,000 visitors.
